Side effects after coming off the pill

Hi all, I came off the pill two months ago after being on it for 13 years (since i was 15) as me and my partner decided to start TTC, and I just wondered if my side effects are normal?? I finished my packet and came on within 3 weeks and had a normal period. After 35 days I came on again but this time it was really really light. This month I have had the most terrible bloating so much so that I look like I am pregnant, I have sore boobs and feeling v.hormonal and teary and v.tired. I am due on ( going by the last cycle) in a couple of weeks. I was just wondering if anyone else has had side effects like this? I can cope with feeling hormonal but the bloating is really getting me down. I do know that it could take a few months for the pill to get out of my system but my body just feels all over the place! Any advice greatly appreciated.

The pill actually leaves your system very quickly after taking the last tablet.

Would continue to monitor your cycles for say the next 2 months and if there is no change to how it is now then I would see the GP.

It comes out of your system quickly but it can take a while for your body to re-learn what it should do. It took about ten months for mine to really settle down. I didn't want to take any more pills to try and regulate it as I felt I'd had enough in my system over the years but I wouldn't have waited much longer than that ( am in my 30s so time is ticking).
