I have been reading obsessively a little in a merely mildly interested way about getting pregnant this time round (ttc #2).
I think I ovulate really early. yesterday I got incredibly horny (tmi?!) and have had watery CM (deffo tmi?!) since yesterday evening. Today is CD7.
I am convinced that dd was conceived from sex on CD7/8 last time.
IS it possible or am I just getting totally confused? Anyone else think they ovulate really earlier?
Normally (and this month) it's okay as I have short bleeds so can start dtd from CD4 or so but occasionally they are longer so to catch CD6 would mean dtd whilst at the back end of a bleed. Logic would tell me you can't conceive at this point...

how long are your cycles in general and have you used opk's or charting? I don't chart and have been rather slack about the opk's but they do help. And I think it is possible to ovulate early but imagine you would only have a short cycle?

Cycles occasionally 28 days but more normal to be 24/245 days.
Have begun using my fertility friend but no ov sticks.

Well in that case if you think a luteal phase lasts about 14 days from ov to af then its quite likely you get ewcm from day 7 and ov a couple of days later. So I would guess you prob ovulate around day 9 or 10?

Reading around it seems that a luteal phase can be up to 16 days? Therefore ovulation could occur day 8 in theory?
Sure I'm overthinking this - I'm just surprised now I know ovulation signs how early I seem to have them.

Definitely possible. If you have a 24-25 day cycle and a luteal phase that falls within the average 12-16 days (I recognise that there are some peopel outside this but I am just doing a rough and ready calculation), then you could definitely ovulate on day 8 or 9 and have and increased libido and EWCM a couple of days before this.

We dtd last night and while tonight is probably out both sat and sun will be happening!

One last ovulation question ladies, sorry! When/if you feel ovulation pains does that mean you are ovulating THAT minute or that you will be shortly?

According to my charting so far (4 cycles) when ovulation was detected it was on cd10, my cycle varies between 26-28 days.
I think I feel ovulation pains the day after Fertility friend detects my ovulation but I'm not certain!
My friend can pinpoint her (unplanned) DS's conception to the day after AF departed. Guess it's why Gp's recommend bd 3 times a week every week of your cycle to maximise your chances!

I'm going with every other day from cd4 this month so testing that theory!

I'd love to give that a whirl but so far I've only persuaded Dh 4 times (a record!).

I'm only on CD7 so it's just been twice so far here to be fair!
