TTC#1 - confused and looking for advice!

Hi! New on here but after a very confusing cycle I had to join to try to get some answers.

I'm cd30 today and based on my longest cycle so far since Jan AF was due this morning ( I always come on in the morning). Past cycles have seen AF on CD25 then CD26, Cd28 and then 30 last month.

I've been testing fertility with Clearblue monitor but it didn't pick up an LHS this month. Then around CD16 I spotted for 2 days, presume this was ovulation spotting as EWCM was there so I made sure we did the deed that day, and for 3 days after!

Now 14dpo. I had a metal taste In my mouth one morning last week and my BBT yest was 36.7. Normally I'm 36.3. My boobs are solid but I wouldn't say much darker or excessively veiny just larger. I've been feeling very bloated for 3 days, the same feeling I get when I've eaten too much bread - which I haven't and I've noticed today I need the loo more.

TTC#1 and scared to test incase it's neg!

Help!!!

only why u will know is by testing really

Bexamundo · 10/05/2011 17:20

I agree I think it's time to test! I know it's scary to face a bfn but if your temp is high and af still hasn't arrived, I'd be inclined to test with first morning urine in the morning!

Cupcakelu · 11/05/2011 07:47

Thanks! I am trying to hold out to Saturday morning so DH can be there ( he leaves for work before me) sat will also be 18dpo. Will post the outcome but fingers crossed it's BFP!!!

test!!!!! you don't have to use first morning urine to do a pregnancy test, it will work just as well in the evening, just make sure you don't drink gallons before hand. If you are at least 14 dpo in your opinion a good test will give you the correct result at any time of the day.
Hope it's positive!

Cupcakelu · 11/05/2011 15:28

I do want to test and have gone to buy myself a test a few times but I've backed out at the last minute. I have tested once before and came on the next day, don't want to tempt fate!

Will be over the moon if it's +ive. We've been trying since the new year but after being on Depo for almost 9 years the Dr said it may take a while for fertility to come back.

If I convince husband to test tonight I will!

Thanks

Bexamundo · 11/05/2011 17:06

It's not tempting fate! You're either pregnant or you're not. Buying the test won't change that! It'll just put you out of your misery/wondering!!

nickelbabe · 11/05/2011 17:11

you've definitely got to test.

when I did it, I was convinced it would be negative.
I only tested because these harpies lot told me I had to.

do it!

Cupcakelu · 12/05/2011 15:38

Hi again. I tested - BFN! Can't believe it. AF still isn't here and due to what I think was ovulation spotting on CD16, and a luteul phase of 11days, I should def be on now. I am only 2days late but at 16dpo I would gave thought hpt would be positive! Aaaaggghhh.

Can bleeding mid cycle time be more or something else then ovulation bleeding? Worried it was actually AF very early and I've missed the chance to chart a new cycle. I don't have ANY AF symptoms!

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 12/05/2011 15:59

:(

I don't know.

How old are you? (to eliminate chance of the change )

Cupcakelu · 12/05/2011 17:14

Oh I hope I'm not there yet!! Only just turned 30 (march). I have been on Depo injections for so long tho so knew there may have been a delay but didn't realise things would stop and start like this.

Whats also soooo annoying is everywhere I go/look everyone's pregnant! Have u found that?

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 12/05/2011 17:17

I don't know then.

yes, everyone seems to be pregnant at the moment - even people who weren't even trying! Shock

it's weird.

It'll happen, just keep shagging.

But keep an eye out on your AF and also the symptoms, cos you never know, it might just be too early...

Cupcakelu · 12/05/2011 17:57

Ha ha great advice! Thanks. Fingers crossed then.

OP posts:
Bexamundo · 12/05/2011 18:07

Sorry for the bfn. Yes EVERYONE else is pregnant. Everyone. Except me. And maybe you.

Bexamundo · 12/05/2011 19:44

But you still could be! (Sorry realised I sounded a bit harsh, it's getting me down the last couple of days).

m4z · 12/05/2011 21:35

Hi,

hope you don't mind joining in. We've Bern trying for over 6m for #2. we were really lucky with #1 and it just happened but now it's taking a long time. I don't know if I'm ovilating properly etc etc. Have blood test booked in for tomorrow.
Just don't know what to do. Feel so stressed and testy. Really want another baby. Had a bad experience having #1 and after getting over all those fears this just can't be happening. Sorry. Gonna go now before I literally start crying. x

Cupcakelu · 13/05/2011 07:57

Hi M4z. Oh dear, u sound more worked up then me! Dont stress out. Everyone says it but it's def the best thing to do. After 4 months of doing everything possible to 'optomise my body' for babies I cracked. I was convinced I should loose weight (currently weighing 10St.5lbs). My husband said I shouldn't cycle. I didn't want to go to the gym In case running caused problems and I've missed playing half my rugby season coz I felt it was too dangerous. It made me miserable oh, and I tried to stay off the booze - BIG mistake.

Anyway, last month I lived my life doing way I wanted (within reason) and fingers crossed I think it might have paid off.

I'd say relax, I know it's hard by try not to obsess about it and maybe give urself a date at which, I've you've not fallen u seek medical advice. If it helps, my older sister fell eaiserly with #1 but struggled with #2. Four years on and her two children are wonderful!!! Chin up and keep smiling. X

Hi cupcake, thank you I'm feeling slot more positive today. I went to the nurse. Blood results due back on tues, doc app on thurs. I'm going to have a chat. I'm considering buying a clearblue thingme bob. Ithink I may be ovulating to different time to what the Calculator says. Whereas lady time maybe it was the time it predicted- if that makes sense. I really find it soothing that there other women/couples going through the sane thing. It's not something you can just talk about to your friends- well for me anyway. I hope we alll have our babies Soon. x

P.s. Also wondering where everyone bought their clearblue ov tests from? eBay? Boots?

Bexamundo · 15/05/2011 09:34

m4z since I started charting I've realised I ovulate days earlier than any calculator says! I was going by an app on my phone which wast great!
I think.the best place to get an ovulation test kit would be amazon, Boots are very expensive. You can get deals on tests and extra sticks. Unless anyone else knows of a cheap website?

loobylou13 · 15/05/2011 09:47

ebay is really good for them, i get 40 tests for £2.49 inc p&p

Cupcakelu · 16/05/2011 10:48

Hi all! Well 6 days late and 18dpo and AF finally arrived yesterday! So down about it as I'd convinced myself and DH that we'd finally hit the jackpot. Oh well back to the monitor and peeing on sticks.

I bought my CB monitor on amazon. It's currently about £50 which is much cheaper then boots. The sticks are the expensive bit though but again, amazon seem the be the cheapest.

So for me, it's a new month and the start of another chart! Good luck everyone. Here's to the next 4 weeks! To be honest it's not all bad as we go to Las Vegas in 2 weeks, at least now I'll be able to enjoy the cocktails without worrying.

OP posts:
nickelbabe · 16/05/2011 10:54

:( sorry to hear that cuppy.

Just keep shagging, that's all I can advise.

m4z · 16/05/2011 11:17

Have ordered the cb monitor from
amazon. No sticks yet though. Hoping
I won't need them! Doc app on thurs to get results if blood test. Maybe some answers there.
