PMT shivers

Does anyone else get this?

A few days before my period arrives I get proper goosebump-causing shivers. I mentioned this to my acupuncturist and she looked at me in a very odd way so I gather it is unusual!

Does anyone else get this? I have had it for the last few years but am more concious of it now I am TTC as I am taking more note of my cycle.

Hi Eurochick, I get this too Smile
I've only noticed it for the last six months or so, but I start with mine immediately after ovulation. It's very strange isn't it. I was thinking it's because our body temperature is raised, and so we react in a similar way to when we have a fever? That's the only thing I can think of!
I would love to find out why this happens!

How long have you been ttc for?

Hi Eurochick

I get really, really cold in the lead up to my period. I've had the heating on since Sunday much to DP's annoyance. Have just assumed that it's my temperature dipping before AF - not that I temp, have just guessed.

My temp seems to stay high until a couple of days after my period starts and I only get the shivers before and for the first day or two of my period, so it can't be the the temp drop causing it. Maybe it is feverish shivers!

Thanks for your answers. I no longer feel so unusual for having this symptom!
