Hi ladies

I'm on my 6th course of clomid and with no sign of success (combination of pcos and poor sperm count/motility) we're being referred for IVF. I was just wondering what I should expect from our first appointment and what questions I should be asking. We're going to the Lister Hospital as we already have a dd (conceived whilst on clomid) so NHS not an option for us :(

I would love to here any of your experiences, even if not positive.

Hello owl I am just about to start ivf at guys ... I don't know how comparable the two clinics are but at our first appt, we went through our medical history, had blood tests, I had a pelvic ultrasound and DH had a sperm test.

And then as soon as your next cycle start, it's all go. The down regs start on cd21, the stimulating drugs start two to three weeks after that and then the eggs are collected. Depending on the number and quality of eggs and embryos, transfer happens two to five days after collection.

Hope that helps and very best of luck Smile
