Hello, I am on my first round of clomid, cd2-6 and got +opk yesterday (cd12) and today, however i am really struggling right now with lower abdomen cramping pain, like bad period pain, feeling tad tender. Is this normal? should I worry? maybe i'm just bloated?

Hi Dottie, I'm on my 9th cycle of clomid and have experienced various types of cramps and pains during those cycles, which have all been normal and nothing to worry about. How bad are the pains, could it be ovulation? Are you getting any kind of monitoring or tests to check you are ovulating? If the pain is really bad then I would just check with your FC/GP who prescribed the clomid.

It's the right time for ovulation pains, but mine are never that painful, more of just a feeling, but everyone is different.

If it lasts, go and see the doctor.

Thanks ladies, I googled and burst cysts and horror stories came up!! hopefully its the clomid possibly doing its thing and I'm ovulating!! pain is bearable (no pain no gain right!), very much like pre AF cramping but because first clomid cycle I worry, pain started late morning, I'll see how I feel tomorrrow and call doc if it gets worse. Have taken 2 paracetomal and seems to have taken the edge off.
thanks again.
