Dp and I decided to start ttc no.2 last month, I had the implant removed 3 weeks ago and was advised by the nurse removing it that there was a chance I could fall pregnant straight away due to having sex 3 days before, I had been bleeding (hormonal bleed) for about four weeks prior to havng the implant removed this carried on for 2 days then stopped then I had some light spotting 2/3days later that lasted about 2 days, just tinged brown discharge when wiping (sorry for tmi).
For the past week I have been experiencing painful nipples, increased discharge and lower back and lower abdominal cramping not really period pains though. I tested on sunday during the day though, just a random i'll check and got a bfn, im just wondering now how long you think I should wait before testing again, as I dont have any periods to judge it by. Also i was wondering how long it has took other people to fall pregnant after being on the implant? Thanks for any replies in advance.

hello i had two implants the first one in for three years fantastic no problems no bleeding etc etc. had my second one in for 6 months as it just really didnt agree with me and was bleeding randomly when ever really. i had it removed febuary 8th bled for 4 days then ovulated on the 17th (was using OPK's). AF came on the first of march for 6 days then i got my BFP (sadly MC'd) so i only really had one proper period before i got pregnant. so yeah id say its pretty right what you have been told.

i too got the MOST painful nipples/breasts ever around ovulation and AF after it was taken out and yes lower back ache like i have never experianced. which is kind of strange as i never had anything like it before the implant. ive just recently done some googling as im now on my 2ww to do a test and they say the first chance do do a test is 7dpo and most will get a true positive around 14dpo. hope it helps some what.

Thanks toddle, im sorry to hear about your mc. I have also had the implant in the past, I had it for 2 1/2 years with no probs for the 1st 2 years but bled almost non stop for the last 6 months so had it removed, it took me around a year to fall pregnant that time but i wasnt actually ttc more of if it happens it happens, it is kind of exciting actually planning another one.
I think I ovulated this time straight away if i go off ewcm, but I have never actively ttc before so I could be wrong. If I go off when I think I ovulated I should be testing now I think so will do another hpt tomorrow morning. If I get another bfn I will just wait till af then try again.
Fingers crossed for your bfp this month, are you tryin for your first?
