Clearblue digital ovulation testing

Hubby and I have been TTC for a few months now. Started taking temp last cycle after 6 months of being unsuccessful. Had two temp peaks at completely the wrong ends of the cycle last month so have started using clearblue digi tests. On day 15 today (29 day cycle) still no LH surge! Anyone else out there with similar experiences? Starting to worry that there might be something wrong? Help!!!

Hi, if you have a look in the threads, especially short luteal phase defect ones, you will see that late ovulation is incredibly common!

In a lot of cases it is due to PCOS, but all sorts of reasons can make it so. As long as you are ovulating before day 19 in your cycle of 29 days you should be ok. I have mostly been ovulating around day 21 up until getting hormones sorted.

Thank you SlightlyBabyCrazed for getting back so quickly, with no friends going through this, its a pretty lonely experience. Sorry to seem a bit naive but what does PCOS stand for? I'll keep a look out for my temp rise as this was 25 so maybe my eggs are just late bloomers!! I'll take a look over those over threads too. The more info the better! x

The thing is you dont knowe if this cycle will be 29 days so if you ovulate later (we can all ov on different days each month). The best thing is to chart and monitor your fertility signs and you will see when you are ov. Ive been charting since September and can ov any time between CD 10-CD17.

Chart your temps on fertility friend, and come over to the charting thread to.

(PCOS stands for polycystic ovarian syndrome)

Hi I have been using this month the clearblue digital ovulation as well and my period is normally 24 days and I thought I probably will be ovulating mid way so thought on day 12 but actually I got the smiley face on day 14 and 15 so I reckon you might get the smiley face soon. Although I have to mention that I did not do it 1st thing in the morning as mentioned and I did urine as normal did not wait 4 hrs without peeing to do the test. I do not know yet whether I pregnant but I did have the smiley face 2 days I thought I was ovulating because of the stringy you get so try the test that day. Hope you got the smiley face soon.

Still no smiley today and no temp rise either :-( Starting to worry about having a short luteal phase now, really trying to stay positive.

Anyone else out there getting super frustrated as well? Everyone in the world seems to be posting pics of their babies on fb or showing off the bump. Feeling so useless...

Thanks for the fertility friend tip Newgolddream, I've been using femcal on my iphone for the last month or so. My mum mentioned something about Fertility Friend, I've signed up and am going to read up on their tutorials tonight. It looks much more comprehensive.

(Oh have changed name now as didn't realise mumsnet could publish!! Blush

It could be that your are having a longer cycle so that's why you've not ovulated yet but could also be you missed your lh surge. I've recently found out my lh surge is short so i have to test afternoon as it's gone by next morning. I use the cbfm and then supplement with opk when I think am ovulating, which is a bit annoying but so far have got right timing and only needed one opk.
