V quick Q re pregnancy test line

panicking a bit here... Does anyone know whether you should ignore a test if you see a line a while after testing?

I wee'd on the stick about an hour ago then saw no line so stuck it back in the box - just checked now and there is a faint line. It's a boots one. Should I completely ignore - does this happen if you leave them for a while?? I know I need to get to the shops to get another one!

Lines should be ignored after the time stated on the box - usually 10-15 mins as evaporation lines can occour after that time.

However, I did the same with DS1! the negative test turned into a faint line in the bin, and the next test I did (diff brand about 4 hours later) was + straight away.

I would suggest doing the same brand test in 48 hours time, then you should get a + straight away if you are pregnant.

Thanks Totoro. As you can imagine I'm not going to able to wait 48 hours! I think I'll try and restrain myself until first thing tomorrow!

Happened to me with ds - no pos within 5 minutes so flung the test in the bin, next morning saw a line there so retested and sure enough...
