I have endometriosis, am about to have right ovary removed as bowel is wrapped all around it so consultant decided to remove it - was just wondering if anyone had conceived with one ovary, how long it took etc? Also, how was the subsequent pregnancy?

Am bricking it to be honest, and would appreciate any stories you guys may have.

TIA.

Thanks, how long did you have to take clomid for before conceiving? Were there any side effects of the clomid?

yes I have one - lost one at 11, anyhow have had 4 confirmed pg's 1 termination, 1 DS, 1 m/c (also one suspected but not confirmed) and finally am 21 weeks PG now.

tbh apart from DS when I was activly TTC with XH (was for 9-12 months ish - however he was away for 6 months in the middle) so really about 3-6 months ish - dates were all funny due to the suspected MC i've been very very lucky to 'catch' with no assistance or indeed not really ttc.

pregnancy with DS & this one have both been very straight forward, no bleeds at all, for me bleeding = bad signs, but that's just my personal experience, plenty of women have bleeds and are ok.

Hmmm long time ago but was fairly quick... 2 or 3 months?

Yes I have. Had one ovary and tube removed due to a massive cyst. Conceived DD very easily, and pregnancy was fine with no problems.

Yes my best friend has, ttc for 4 years, when concieved and had scan it revealed a massive cyst on one ovary - had it removed at c-section. Since then has conceived 2nd baby within 2 years of birth of first (prob not trying for 1st year!) - pregancy aok, much better than first in fact (fallopian tube at twisted badly during first pregnancy due to massive ovary, causing pain+++)

Hope that brings some hope :)
