Ok, am wondering if I could possibly be pregnant. I need to do a test but won't have any money to buy one until Wednesday so thought I'd come on here and obsess about it in the meantime! lol
My last period was 5 days late, but only lasted for 3 days instead of the usual 7 - 10. I didn't think anything of this until I started getting ill over the last few days.
I've been really nauseous and have thrown up a few times. There is absolutely nothing else wrong with me and the sickness comes and goes!?
I didn't get any morning sickness last time round so I have no idea if it is like this or not.
I don't have any other symptoms of pregnancy and I did have my period although it was a bit of an odd one so I'm thinking that I can't be pregnant, but there is a niggly doubt in the back of my mind, and if I'm not what's wrong with me!! lol

What do you think? no way or maybe? I'm driving myself mad with this!

Were you using contraception?

startingtobehalloweenylover · 31/10/2005 15:44

well i was on the pill AND had a light period and i was pregnant! didn't find out til i was aboput 6 weeks (by dating scan)

sillysoo · 31/10/2005 15:58

No, had a moment of madness and wasn't using contraception. That was about four weeks ago. Could I even have symptoms this early?

I think it sounds like a maybe. The bleeding could have been 'implantation' bleeding. I certainly got symptons when I was 4 or 5 weeks. You can get a free test at the family planning clinic or GP

aloha · 31/10/2005 16:05

well yes then you could be pg,' if you weren't using contraception then i assume it isn't a disaster.
And yes, you can certainly get symptoms within four weeks.

sillysoo · 31/10/2005 16:26

No it wouldn't be a disaster at all, not what I would have planned but certainly not a disaster.
Have been reading a lot about implantation bleeds crunchie because my period was not normal, but everything I've read suggests that it is normally very light spotting? I had a normal period - just a lot shorter than usual so am not sure about it.

sillysoo.. i also had a period... definitely not an implantation bleed.

it IS possible to have periods throughoyut your pregnancy!
i went into hospital with stomach cramps, sickness and bleeding (2 weeks after my period) and found out i was 6 weeks pg!

sillysoo · 31/10/2005 17:05

Oooohh, am starting to think it's more of a possibility than I first thought! I wish I could go get a test now I'm not known for my patience!! lol

My sister was my Mum's eighth pg (she lost a few), and Mum didnt realise she was pg as she had periods for the first 5 months. If it can happen to someone as experienced in pg as her...

crunchie · 01/11/2005 09:43

Well I had what I would call a period, but it lasted only 2 days - hence I thought I couldn't be PG. But I was
