Boots pregnancy tests

Hi, has anyone used Boots own tests & know how good they are compared to others. AF is due around now but I'm very quietly confident I'm PG. Couldn't resist buying the pk of 2 tests this morning but wasn't sure whether to test or not Confused. I so want to do one but now it won't be first wee of the day & wasn't sure if it made much difference with the cheaper brands? Don't think I can wait til tomorrow now....

Hi leaky

I did an afternoon test, and got a fain BFP. Got a stronger one today, but nothing on FR, so am really unsure as to whether I am being really unlucky and getting dud tests, or whether I am pregnant and it is varying between different brands.

So confused..... Hmm

Thanx maybebabyR. Was it a boots test then? Just wee'd in a jug & don't know whether to use it!

Yeah, the boots early response ones. I'd use it, you will only spend the rest of the day wanting to do one!

And even if it is negative, it may just be too early Smile

When i was pg with my 3 child I did clearblue test on fri with a neg but I just knew i was pg dont ask me how I have always known so did another clearblue on mon with a posative result but did not believe it as it was a suprise and a big one at that (even though i knew in my heart) so i went and got a boots test and did it in the shop and got a posative result and i was only 2 weeks pg if that so i dont think there is a diffrence in the tests just your hormone level. It's not an early preg one , looks more like their basic value one. On my way to test now!

I would test - in my experience the price of a test is no indicator or reliablity. I had a BFP at only 9 DPO on a cheap internet strip that I buy from ebay. At the end of the day they all measure the same hormone, just at different concentrations and the cheapies I had detected 10ml.

From the tests in the shops I think the Superdrug ones have a particularly good reputation as well.

i used them with both of my bfps. i did get a digital blue to confirm first time round as a didnt believe i could be pg

Hi Moffit I had a BFN earlier so then I kicked myself for giving in & testing so early. It's made me feel quite down actually. Still doesn't mean I'm not PG but made me reassess things & I cuddled up to my 22mth DD & reminded myself how lucky I am.Tried to stay off here for a good few hrs as it's so hard to think about anything else as it is!
