I know some tests say "4 days early", some say "from the day AF is due", But REALLY when is the best time to take a test when it will defo most likely come up positive? A week after AF due? A day?

Argh!

I dont think there is one. I didnt get a BFP until I was four days late - even with the FR, and I'm having twins so the hormone levels should have been way higher!

I've never tested until a week after AF is due - and that's a week after AF is the latest it could be.

As a result I've only had to buy 3 pregnancy tests in my life: 1 was BFP and 2 were BFN with AF arriving within 24 hours of taking the test.

It's hard, but it's my rule and stops me going bananas and spending all my money on pregnancy tests. My cycle has a range of about 5 days though so it would be difficult for me to know exactly when to test otherwise.

anytime after your period is due. the stats on getting an accurate result if you test early are pretty bad, iirc only around 50% of women got an accurate test. the longer you leave it the better, esp if you add into the mix the amount of women who get a bfp then their period comes.

the latest you can manage i think, as the last poster said its most accurate and will help prevent some of those heart breaks from tests that say positive and the AF arrives afterwards.
