So disappointed. For the last two weeks, I've had occasional cramps, strange taste in my mouth, more saliva than normal, need to go to the toilet more than normal, need to drink more than normal, extreme tiredness, nausea... I saw the GP who though I was pregnant and in the very early stages but yesterday I started AF. It's not like my normal one-so far has mainly been dark discharge and only a little dark blood. I guess I'm just disappointed as after what GP said I'd kind of convinced myself that I was. So now I'm wondering what all the symptoms are for. Has anyone else had this?

OMG yes!!! Ever since we started ttc. Even things I can't imagine like nipples turning really dark. Have even tested and it's been negative so it's not even chemical pregnancies. To be honest I think it might be some treats of hormonal imbalance as I've not felt 'normal' since coming off the pill a year ago. GP says the pill can take 12 months to wear off which I have never heard before but I am just riding it out and hoping things settle down soon!

However woody I would say that the rise in progesterone you get before AF causes pregnancy symptoms whether you're pregnant or not - I reckon you don't notice until you're ttc then you can't stop noticing! My advice is ignore any symptoms until AF is late. (NB I do not take this advice myself!!)

Er not 'treats' (where did autocorrect get that from??), 'sort'

I think that's it - I am now looking for them and there are so many symptoms that could apply to pregnancy. I think that I've got to try not to think about it and not get my hopes up until AF is late. It's funny, when you are a teenager you are made to feel that it is so easy to get pregnant but when you are TTC it doesn't seem so easy!

I know what you mean! The first month of TTC I knew I was pregnant... until AF arrived! I had convinced myself because I had all the same symptoms as you. It's true that it seems so easy to get pregnant until you start to try, i'm only on month 3 of TTC and I know it seems daft but i'm getting quite grumpy this month as everyone I know who has recently had a baby/is currently pregnant has fallen pregnant by accident or first month of trying

Yes most people I know conceived without really trying or on the first time. In fact, we decided to wait a bit because of this but now I'm really impatient!
