Morning all,

Fx for you Liliana (You can get a £4 test in Wilkinsons which says you can test 5 days early, maybe you could try one of those for reassurance?)

I got A BFN this morning with a 5 days early test so I know there is no chance of PG this month :(

Blue22 my AF due Thursday!

Although I'm feeling a bit rubbish I'm determined to find a positive. I have lots of painting and DIY to do so I'm going to get on with that (in preparation for when I am PG and can't do those things as easily!!!)

Hope everyone else has more luck :) x

75sarah · 26/04/2011 09:00

Fx Liliana. Are you testing again this morning? Ooh, it's all very exciting.

I'm in the same boat as you, Byrnsie. I test on about 11 DPO and there wasn't even the slightest hint of a line. AF due tomorrow but I just feel like I'm 'out'.
It's only faily recently that we decided we wanted to try for a family, but more and more I'm finding that I just don't think it'll happen. I don't know why this is - and I know it's really early days - but I just get a deep down feeling that it's not going to happen...
Good luck to anyone else due to test x

goingmadtrying · 26/04/2011 09:44

Morning ladies dh just taken boys out on their bikes so I've taken the opportunity to catch up on mn :)

sorry byrnsie and Sarah your both feeling down, neither of you are out until af arrives so fx for you, god we've got to get some bfp's on this bus!!!!

liliana fx u get another line which is in the right place :)

I'm currently cd27 so due anytime, no sign of af yet and dtd last night which sometimes starts it, I've definately been feeling sicky but also cm much drier so still no clearer, will test when I get home if still no af, but just enjoying hol and trying not to worry about, have a nice day ladies Grin

Did another test this morning and still no clearer, this one seemed less positive than the first!! -think I'm going to give it some time and see what happens as I still think it's too early.

The game definately isn't over till AF sings :) still got my fx for some positive results.
GMT glad you are enjoying your holiday
Sarah I have those days too when I just think it's not ment to be, it can take time so try to stay positive xx

orangehead · 26/04/2011 11:38

Byrnsie30 in answer to your question according to Zita West book sperm can stay alive in your cm on average 2-3 days before you ov and in some cases up to a week however once you ov the lifespan of the egg is ony 8 - 12 hours so then no longer fertile. Also she suggests that ov at 12-14 is only an average so therefore alot of women ov out of that window. Some can ov quite soon after af finishes and some quite late in the cycle so best to swi regularly to cover all bases but perhaps increase when having ewcm.
Sorry both you and Sarah are feeling down but it really is not over till af shows. There was two ladies on Jan bus who kept getting bfn until they were nearly a week late then got bfp so there is still hope. I keep thinking that too sarah that it is just not going to happen Sad. But we have to try and stay positive.
Fx liliana

Accordng to fertility friend I am on 3dpo and ov on day 10 of cycle. I always like seeing it on there makes me Smilethat everything is in working order despite my body trying to confuse me most of the time. So it has changed my date for af to 4th of may instead of 10th, actually dont know why Im typing this I am best keeping the 10th in my head to avoid early testing. Everyone else using ff, do you find the af prediction spot on?
Also feeling quite happy, ttc has been more me dh has agreed to it because he knew I really wanted it. However it has been getting me a bit down and a bit lonely. I just really wanted him to show a bit of excitement. I have not been telling him when I have been ov as he has just left it all up to me and I didnt want to put pressure on him or freak him out (he admits that being a dad scares him, we got together when my boys were abit older so he never done the baby stage) He is a fantastic dad to my boys and know he will be to another. Anyway Im diverting now, my db and his family has stayed with us this weekend and dh has fell in love with my db baby son and he has spent of the time looking after him. He is now all excited about ttc and says its not as scarey as he thought Grin.
Sorry for the long post

75sarah · 26/04/2011 13:14

Glad you got the outcome you wanted from your dh meeting you db and his family, orangehead

Thanks for the kind messages, ladies. We're all going through the same thing..honestly, I had no idea that this was what ttc was like until we started ttc!!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 26/04/2011 15:18

Hrm. Not due till the 7th May and have been having waves of mild nausea all weekend - like travel sickness. Eating seems to help it, but it's getting me all excited even though there's no point testing or anything yet - I just feel a bit different - tearful and odd, though it may be tiredness again. Am almost hoping this next week away so I can find out, which is a shame because we're having a party this weekend and I've been really looking forward to it! Must keep my feet on the ground till I know.

It doesn;t help that my mum spent all weekend looking at me sideways and asking if I was drinking milk because I needed the extra calcium and other inquisitive questions.

It really doesn;t help that I met my 10 day old niece for the first time, too - she was sooo small! the smallest baby I've ever held! I am now really hopeful and absolutely terrified - what do you do with something that small???

Wishing you all luck and do little pinging twinges on one or other side of your belly mean anything?
x

Liliana1 · 26/04/2011 15:39

Sounds hopeful Cakes fx for you. I haven't had any sickness since that one time (oh it was only yesterday! Every day seems soooo long this week!) is it wrong that I'm sad I'm not feeling sick? :)

Orange it really helps when OH is on board and excited, glad your dh is now. Mine has only become really interested this cycle and as he put it ' well I haven't been putting in much effort before' - he made up for it this month Wink it's much more exciting now!!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 26/04/2011 17:02

Thanks Liliana, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much because it might just be a balance issue causing motion sickness or any one of a hundred other things not baby related.

I'll keep fx that you get your BFP :-)

Byrnsie30 · 26/04/2011 18:17

Hi all,

Bit of a change since this morning! BFP!!!
I took the Wilko's test this am and got BFN, thought sod it I'm having a bacon and egg buttie with runny yolk!
An hour later went to take a shower and did the classic 'get the test out of the bin' and there was a faint line! The instructions said not to interpret the results after 30 mins (obviously it had been much longer), so I took the plunge and did a digital (telling myself not to expect anything) and low and behold it came back positive!!

I am very tentative about it and wondered if I should say anything as I have been in this position before, however this Bus has been so helpful and you ladies are great support so I wanted to offer a bit of cheery news and hope for those still in 2ww hell! My AF was due in 2 days and I had previously done tests 7 days before and 5 days before (both BFN)

I myself will remain happy but nervous 'til the 12 week scan. Trying to enjoy and not think of last time! xx

Liliana1 · 26/04/2011 18:35

Woo hoo!!! Happy dance round the room for Byrnsie :) so pleased for you and hope all goes well for the next 12 weeks (and the whole 9 months)

Thanks for sharing, lovely to hear some good news, lets hope you have started a run of BFP's xxx

Liliana1 · 26/04/2011 18:37

Really want to go and take another test now!! Someone restrain me please :)

blue22 · 26/04/2011 19:38

Liliana - I'm restraining myself too!
x

blueeyedmonster · 26/04/2011 19:44

Yaaaaay fab news byrnsie so pleased for you!

Glad you are having a good time on your hols gmt

FX we see some more bfps

Byrnsie30 · 26/04/2011 20:57

Hey ladies,

Thankyou for your well wishes - I am majorly tentative but happy.
To be honest I don't think I have symptoms at the moment, although I was feeling a little sickly last week and have had a major spot break out on my face!
Strangely, last time I had a random reaction to some nuts I was eating, before I was even aware I was PG (never had that reaction before or since)
I also have a strange little spot/mole on my tummy which only appeared last week, so I guess I've had some body changes, but not the ones you would necessarily be looking for.
I will keep you all updated (hopefully, fx, touch wood etc etc it will be all positive news)
I look forward to hearing some BFP from you all soon x

orangehead · 26/04/2011 21:17

Hi goingmad fingers crossed AF stays away. I'm on CD30, due tomorrow and have a lot of cramps so sure it's on the way. Oh well.
Hope for some more BFP's soon. Morning Brew and cakes all round!

orangehead · 27/04/2011 11:28

75sarah · 27/04/2011 11:31

Wow, Byrnsie. Congratulations. That is fantastic news Smile. Keep in touch.
I was due af this morning but she hasn't arrived yet. I daren't do a test yet incase it comes back negative. Byrnsie's news has just made me think that I could be in with a chance as we were both a bit down a few days ago due to bfns. Ooh, Byrnsie, I'm so chuffed for you. Fab news! x

EsmeWeatherwax · 27/04/2011 12:27

Hello again ladies, just checking in quickly, lol, lots to catch up on! Been away for the last few days as Dh is off work, enjoying the fantastic weather!

Away to catch up with the thread and update stats list for cycle too!

Congrats to bfp-ers!

blue22 · 27/04/2011 13:49

Just POAS and BFN. It was an Asda one and AF due tomorrow so that's me off the bus. Good luck for everyone else x

orangehead · 27/04/2011 14:27

sorry about bfn blue but it not over yet

Levana · 27/04/2011 14:43

Congrats Byrnsie.

Well I am out this month, 14 days after ov AF is here - my cycle is becoming ruthlessly efficient timing wise but not as hot with actually conceiving as yet.

I've been charting for a week and could see my temp dipping in the last few days so kind of new this month wasn't 'the month'.
