Sainsbury's Pregnancy Test

Hi Everyone,

I'm totally brand new - so not sure on all the jargon etc etc, so bear with me!

My AF (I've figured that one out!) is due on 01/04/2011...
I took a first response test last night - partially because I had a feeling I might be - but also because I just couldn't wait! Anyway - it was negative.

Today I decided to stop at Sainsbury's on my way home from work and buy one of theres - just in case AF doesn't show on Friday.
Curiosity got the better of me, so I've just tested again.

Now I'm totally confused. I have the absolute faintest of faint lines to make the cross.... do you think it's just a dud test and I should stop obsessing - or do you think it could be a positive?
I'm not sure if I'm looking too hard and hoping it's there, or what!!

Has anyone else experienced that with these?

Sorry - just to add to the detail above... the line that goes down to make the positive is thinner than the line going across...
Do you think that makes any difference?

My hubby is due home soon - not sure whether to show him or just re-test tomorrow morning...........

ARGH

It's unusual apparently to get a false positive and any line is a line in those circumstances. If you aren't due until the 1st April, maybe hang fire again until then to give the HCG ( the stuff I think it is that the tests detect) time to build up, as the more the test detects the stronger the line will get and the further into being pregnant you are the more HCG your body produces. But it does look good so fingers crossed it is actually a line.

Thank you for the advice. I'm still bottling saying anything to my hubby... ah well!

I think the two line tests are better to read than the ones with the + and - signs. Also pink/red lines seem to be easier to detect when faint than blue ones. I prefer the sure sign tests, very cheap behind Asda pharmacy counter. You may be pregnant, and a line is a line so you can at least be optimistic that if you do a test on the 31st or the 1st, you'll get the desired result.
Good luck - hoping you get a big fat strong line next time!

Thanks Kat...
I finally showed it to my hubby and he said there is definitely a faint line - so fingers crossed for the morning!

I'm guessing you're really disappointed :( Sorry Caz.

But like you said, wait until Friday and take another test if you don't get nature's sign.

Good luck and make sure you update!
