How soon after surgery for ectopic?

Does anyone know how soon it is safe to be pregnant again after having surgery (not keyhole) to remove an ectopic pregnancy?

I'm thinking along the lines of how much time does my wound need to heal so that it doesn't re-open or something hideous!! I had to have a tube removed and not sure what that means for the safety of the rest of my insides if I was to fall pregnant again?

So sorry for your loss.

My consultant recommended 3 months following my ectopic, although this was for my hormones to get back to normal. However, I had pretty major abdominal surgery for bad appendicitis and that doc also recommended 3 months before TTC again.
