Has any MNer found out they were pregnant after their DP/DH had a vasectomy?

Name changed as not a regular poster, but easily identifiable from my normal posting name/profile.

Background, DH had a vasectomy about 2 years ago, we have 4 dc, the youngest being 22 months, DH panicked when we found out I was pregnant with DC4 as we literally had only had sex a few times since my cycle had returned after the birth of DC3, all but one of the times we used condoms. So he went to our GP's was refered and seen quickly, had his op before DC4 was born. He never sent off an initial post vasectomy sample as I think he was regretting his hasty decision and he finally sent of a sample well over a year post op but never requested the results back. We have been using condoms anyway as a suffer with extreme discomfort after sex if there is too much "lubricant" involved (sorry probably TMI but just wanted to make sure you had all the info as may not be able to get back and didn't want to drip feed it.) apart from one occassion when we didn't. I am pretty sure my period is late, but things have been manic recently so I may have lost track, however I know I should be pre menstrual now and am not (but don't have any early signs of pregnancy either), apart from a "twingy, dragging" sensation, as if my period is about to start, however this has been going on for a week.

I know I need to POAS, however will still be anxious as I can't remember LMP so may be in the window were the HCG isn't high enough to show. Also I am probably deluding myself that at 38 this may be menopause.

If you have got to the end of this please shout at me and tell me to get a grip, I feel like a teenager again!

My cousin had her fourth child after her DH had a vasectomy. He didn't send his sample away and hadn't considered the fact that he could still have some stray wigglers left.
The only way to be sure is to POAS. Fingers crossed for whatever outcome you want.

Thanks, I am not sure what I want, I am going to get a couple of tests tonight and see what the result is, I think I will probably be a bit disappointed whatever, which is the silly thing, I am in limbo now and that is a good place to be at the moment!
