Clearblue Digital OPK - where's my smiley face?

Hi all! I tried a topic search but a lot comes up about the monitor - I hope someone has some advice re the CB Digital OPK/Test! I am getting really worried as not getting a smiley face and I have long gone past the day I would have expected to ovulate Shock I know the test instructions suggest testing wee at the same time each day (I am using first morning wee!) but I have read that the LH surge can happen later in the day?? Sorry- just really confused and wondering how other's are getting on with this! x

I never ever use a first morning sample. I did for about three months and only ever got a :) once. I switched to doing it in the afternoons (between 2 and 4) and i always get one now. I also use the monitor and set it so that i test in the afternoons as well and i always get a peak too.

I know some women detect their surges no probs with morning samples but i have shorter surges, 12 hours max usually so would miss mine, obviously if you have longer ones you are going to test positive in the morning at some point. You might have missed yours this month so i would try in the afternoons next time if i were you. Good luck!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! I'll consider trying this! I notice it says in the instructions to have waited at least 4 hours since last pee-ing before testing which is why I have been testing first thing in the morning!

I brought one this month for the first time, I used it as the instructions said & by the 7th day of testing i'd still not got a smiley face despite being past my ovulation date according to every other ovulation calculator?!?!?!

I wasn't going to spend another £22 to carry on testing so don't know if i DID manage to catch ovulation by SWI.

Will have to wait till my due date of 2nd to see if i get a BFP, but so far im NOT rating these test thingies ;O)

I also fared much better testing in the afternoon with those (and any other OPKs I tried including the monitor).

Good luck!

I never got a smiley on those things!

I use the cheapies from amazon - much cheaper and far more reliable IMHO Smile

hi dollysgirl, I got my smiley face on CD 11 and this was with fmu. Like you, I'm hoping I won't need them again (fingers X'd!!) but I will perhaps test morning and afternoon - just to be sure! :)
