last period 5th of feb but tests say no. What now ?

I have never missed a period before other than my 3 pregnancies. I must have done about 12 tests the last one on tuesday. All have said no.

We have not been trying for a child and it would not be a good thing but neither would it be the end of the world.

My GP was useless he actually told me I would be pregnant or not. I'm so glad I went I could never have figured that out on my own. He also said come back in a while if nothing happens. I asked what a while is and he said months and months and months.

Does anyone have any experience like this ? I could really do with some advice ?

Hey guys-- can I join the club?!
My AF was due last week. Im not exactly TTC as have 14 month old DD, however would be totally chuffed to bits if I was pg again.
I do have PCOS tho, so its not completely unusual for me to be late. However a few weeks ago I had crazy strong pg symptoms and was totally convinced I was, then last week they all disappeared. Ive done about 5 tests (not too obsessed, lol), all BFN.

Now Im sat here trying not to think about it too much and trying to convince myself not to test again for at least a week.. too expensive if anything!

yeah u can join.i have pcos as well and before ds i was a fortune on tests cause of my af.before af every month i have sore boobs and i always feel sick so every month i thought just maybe even after da but the last year i have been marking down my cycle and they came every 4-5 weeks.but i thought it starange that i haven't had one since 28th jan so i started talking tests they all came up no,even went to doc's on the 16th march still was a no so i really thought that they would come.anyway did 2 tesco cheap tests on saterday 26th both came up yes then i went to chemist and bought 2 clearblue digital one they came up no but by the time monday came to see doc i did 10 tests all came up yes just couldn't believe it dr did bloods and came back yes.i did a clearblue digital again in thursday and came up 2-3 weeks :) iam so happy cause i really thought i couldn't have any more.

so sorry everyone i keep posting my life story just so excited cause i really thought i couldn't have anymore.

Im doing ok thanks gina. Still all the signs of being pg and more added as well. I only usually hav cramps when due never sick etc and what first made me think was feeling so tired then the sickness came after.
I am going to give til next week and do another test i think.
It would be really good for us all if we did come out positive at the end and share our stories all the way along :).
I am not suprised you are so happy :) its such an exciting time anyway! Xxxx

Its really interesting to hear others conception stories. And as Han says, it is such an exciting time.. :)

Still no af for me.. but am really trying to resist testing til this wkend.
It took me nearly 2 years to conceive DD but to be honest I wasnt very organised about it, and just went with the 'if it happens, it happens..' mind set.

In fact, just as I was starting to think it wasnt meant to be, and planning a life without babies- BAM!- I was pg with DD! It was quite a shock. Still is, and she is now over a year old, haha.

I just wanna know either way- the witch is such a nightmare! Im starting to wonder if Im subconciously stopping it from coming, if u know what I mean?

Do you have any other signs of being pg monkey?

I know what you mean about sunconsciously stopping them I wondered that with mine I have so many signs of being pg yet no +ve test result! It's just a waiting game which is very frustrating!

Hopefully it won't be too long a wait for you to find out :)

ok i'v now missed 2 periods now and still testing as a BFN. wot on earth ?

This is bizarre maccie. Maybe the docs is a good port of call again now that you have missed 2! There must be some explanation as to why you are missing although having researched it is not that uncommon to go a few months wirhout due to various reasons. Its very bizarre! Hope something resolves it soon! X x

Maccie that IS weird. Espesh as you're normally so regular.. I would def go back to the docs and demand to be checked out. However Im sure its probably pretty common.. and you really think u would know if you were pg? Maybe if your Hcg levels are different this time, so less symptoms and therefore bfn?? Im not sure if this is possible or makes any sense, just speculating!

Buglugs- yes, its enough to drive anyone totally bonkers! I take it you're ttc? And its really hard not to think about I completely agree.. Is Agnus Cactus to regulate af?

Han yes Ive had loads of signs- but Im calling them my phantom pg signs! Mainly when I got pg with DD I had a strong ache in my left hip/ovary area for about a week- so achey I went to oesteopath and took loads of ibuprofen (whoops!) and then found out I was pg shortly after it subsided- and the same achey pain came back a few weeks ago, which is what made me suspect. And then of course suddenly I was having extreme tiredness, metallic taste, sharp pains in bbs, etc etc- but I really think its in my mind.. But as I said Im not really ttc (just slack, haha) so Id be happy either way!

Ive given af til friday to show up and if its still not arrived Im gonna test again..

Good call Monkey. The first week that I started feeling extremely tired etc I felt achey in my back and hips but just thought I was tired. Also had cramping which wasn't strong enough to be period as usually if I get cramps I get them terribly! I am starting to wonder whether I am just imagining things now. I dont feel as pg today as I have done but they say that hormones are all over the place and can subside or increase from one day to the next!

I am going to test again next week if I still have nothing, as it will have been 2 months since my last! I also am not TTC so would be happy either way but its the not knowing that is driving me barmy!! I want to either get on with life and carry on as normal or start to prepare myself for motherhood!

monkeybump. I really do think I would recognise the symptoms. the hcg levels do have to be consistant for it to be a viable pregnancy. I had one miscarriage a few years ago and even that did show up on a test (faint line but definiatley there). Also had to go through many internal scans and repeated blood tests as the hcg levels did not drop as expected. horrible time.
Even then though I was experiencing symptoms and not as strong as my other pregnancies, but they were still there. That is why I'm saying I dont 'feel' pregnant.
Also we are not trying for a baby so i'm not willing a result one way or the other so i'm not stressing myself out wishing for it.(been there once before so i know thats possible when you want it so much. Just really confused as my bodys not generally behaving like this.

maccie- the wierdest thing to me is you've missed two?? To skip the odd period seems common, but two..? Sorry bout the mc btw. Sounds awful.

well mine has finally arrived, but I would like to thank all you lovely ladies for your support. I really was starting to think I might go mad as no-one I knew had experienced this and the doctors were no help either. I didnt know where to turn next.
Because you were all here for me it didnt seem so bad. Knowing it wasnt just me going through it even though we all had our own reasons for wanting it or worrying about it made it easier to cope with.
I will keep checking in on this thread and see how your all getting on because I'm hoping you all get what you are wishing for from it.

hi ladies,
at long last iv found people who are going through the same thing as me.
my last period was feb 9th 2011 and im still waiting for a period.
my cycles usually are 28days but since trying for a baby they are between 28-40days...... :(
i have done loads of tests all negative but been using the one step stips lately and all them negative, iv not taken a test in about 3 days,
iv been pregnant before and had my little girl 2 and a half years ago but even with that pregnancy it took til about 7/8 weeks before i got a positive result so maybe im just one of those people who get late results.
i dont want to get my hopes up as i have done for the last 8 months and been dissapointed when my period arrives.
the only symptoms iv had so far are, headaches, tiredness all day :(..... and the last 3 days iv had period like pains.
i dont want to go to my doctors as like iv said before iv had missed periods longer than this but i have a weird feeling about this 1 that i am pregnant or maybe im hoping to much.
sorry to baffle on girls haha just wondering if any1 else is in the same kinda boat as me

Aw Maccie, I am glad that you are finally out of the limbo and that you now know :)

I am slowly going insane....I keep doing really dapsy things and forgetting simple little pieces of information, before now I had a really good memory!! Surely something has to happen sooner rather than later, either with an AF or a BFP!! I am getting more and more tired still and could sleep forever it seems. My BF is getting frustrated with me that I always want to sleep but I really cannot help it :( I don't feel as sick throughout the day now but still in the mornings and I am now bloated a lot! This really is annoying.

Will keep my FX that we all get somewhere soon though

Thanx gina :) i am hangin in there by a thread it seems. Work r concerned now that i am losing my marbles lol. Not good! I havent told them that i may b pg incase it turns out im not. I dont want to look silly!

i just rememberd a few weeks before i found out i was like that,very confused all the time,and agitated and the least thing would set me off.
but that was a few weeks before i found out sooooo just maybe :)

i dont know about enjoying it yet,still very scared not wanting to tell anyone
but i hope you find out soon xx

Yep sounds like me to a T! I am usually so laid back and realli quiet n dnt get upset or mad with people but rite nw say or do the rng thng n ur mincemeat lol and yep vry agitated and smallest thngs confusing me. I hpe i find out soon 2 its bugging me lol.

Aw yeah i still hav tht 2 cme quite possibly! I am sure tht u will b juat fine tho :) u hav all us lovely ppl 2 tlk 2 alng the way :) x x
