TTC a 2012 baby, this is our year !!!

I am about to start cycle 5 and wondered if there were any fellow sex pests out there who wanted to join me in regular swi, not so regular poas and plenty of Wine, Biscuit, Brew and [chocolate emoticon].

Saw my GP today about my cycles and spotting before af, he says its great that I know I am actually ovulating after so many years on the pill, apparently he wouldn't have expected it so soon and to happen each month. He's suggested I have some swabs done and a check on my cervix just to rule out any infection or polyps but he thinks it should all be fine as I have no other symptoms.
He also suggested tracking my cycle by temperature (so have just ordered a bbt thermometer) and said that taking vitamin b6 is not something they really recommend anymore although it wouldn't do me any harm.
Really glad I saw him, made me feel a bit more positive about the whole thing, plus he said if my cycles are still the same in a few months to go back and he would be happy to discuss taking things further with investigations.

bun - glad it's going well! Fantastic news about the seafront place - just in time for the summer! :)

I'm doing OK - been an odd month, v up and down. DP is crazy stressed due to work stuff; leaving early, getting home late, totally down in the dumps. Is crap. My cycle has gone completely wonky - ovulated almost completely without warning on CD11 this month. There is precisely a 0% chance that we will conceive this month :( Am still charting, but am paying it a lot less attention for a bit; take my temp, log it and CM, then try and forget about it all.

I'm actually kind of relieved that we missed out on trying this month; think we both need a bit of a break from it. Has been a stressful few months with health/TTC/work - not having to do the 2ww this month will be a nice break.

On the bright side, my arthritis has properly calmed back down and I appear to be back in remission, so that's something.

Good luck for everyone else - hopefully the sunshine will do us all the world of good!

trope fab news about you arthritis! Sounds like a break will be nice, maybe you can treat yourselves and be a bit indulgent, hopefully will cheer him up too, I know just what you mean, DH just changed jobs a few months back but prior to that was doing early mornings, late nights and was grumpy, doesn't exactly put you in the mood for love does it?!

No news here, on CD13, have actually remembered to take my temperature every day since CD4 and have swi every other day as per the plan. No one can say us lot are not trying hard enough! Grin

Hi er Im not very good with all the abbreviations!

Im 28,OH 32 engaged been with OH just over 5 years, although known him since I was 15!

Talking about TTC for a while, never sure whens the right time work, money, weight etc anyway, decided that whenever it happns is the right time! Now actively TTC on 3rd round! Although only really with true intent last month. No idea how long to expect it to take, excited but S**ing it at the same time! haha!

Trope that must be such a relief that your arthritis is back in remission, really pleased for you Smile I agree with Carlita's suggestion about making the most of your 'month off' and really treat yourselves - it sounds like you bloody deserve it! Hope everything calms down for DP at work soon, I can really sympathise with that situation, it's not a nice place to be. Best wishes!

Hi All, was wandering if i could ask some advice, been ttc now for a few months, but in that time ive only had one period, my cycles have been approx 48 days long, does anybody else have extreamly long cycles? Also do you think i should go and see my gp for some advice, just wandered whether its possible im not ov'ing or there is some other underlying problem, the first time i told my gp back 7 years ago they just put me on the contraceptive pill, its never been looked into, any suggestions welcome :)

1sttime there would be no harm in going to your GP, I'm not able to advise about your cycles but I would say that's unusual and it would be a shame to try for a year and then find out that you just needed a simple intervention. Just my opinion but hope it helps. Grin

well AF got me today Sad. feeling fairly down about the whole thing, but the BFPs on this thread have cheered me up - congrats world and stuff - good to know it happens on our thread.

nice to have you drop in bun - glad to hear it's all going well for you. and good health news from trope too, so glad I stopped by today!

will update stats soon.
Due to have some blood taken for tests on Tues. the doctor said on days 1 to 5, and Tues will be day 5, so should be ok. just starting to investigate that I'm ov-ing ok.

think I mainly need to relax more - work has been super-crazy busy and I know I need a break. hoping to have week of 11th July off - which will be a key SWI time for us too - so just need to relax and think positive thoughts for the next cycle!

I've got some gossip... Dp and I had a discussion about getting married last night!!!! He must have caught on with my hint dropping after all!! He also told me that he is concerned that we haven't had a bfp yet, and I had thought he was losing interest!!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

Haha nope. Well could be i suppose. He had me sizing my finger the other day. ARGHHHHHH. The anticipation is killing me! We of away for the first week in august so maybe then sometime that week. On the TTC side i was also feeling the same about him. As he was away mid cycle ive not been botherd at all this month or kept track. Caught up with me eventually though when AF hit while wearing white linen trousers.............. At work. :(. He said he was really upset and gutted as id been getting later and by HIS calculations i was due on few days previous. I had no idea he even knew when was due or anything. He thinks this month is our lucky month :) i chuffing hope so. Here comes cycle 6. Wow that hit me hard. Half a year? Im aware people have been trying much longer then me just never in a million years expected it to take so long.

You have any idea when mrbabybrain may pop the question babybrain? Eeeek its all very exciting. This may take our minds of TTC for a while at least

Well i cant update on my phone so if someone does will you change me to cycle 6 :( ucl 30 and af due 30th july

Haha, that's funny toddle were away that week too!!! I'm hoping he will do it when were on holiday!! Ooh it is exciting!!! He got quite excited last night when my reply to him being concerned about not having a bfp yet was that we should DTD more often, he nearly fell off his chair!!!!
