I am about to start cycle 5 and wondered if there were any fellow sex pests out there who wanted to join me in regular swi, not so regular poas and plenty of Wine, Biscuit, Brew and [chocolate emoticon].

So sorry to see af has got some of you Sad best of luck for next month.

I'm 5dpo now which means I ovulated earlier than usual this month. (Probably has nothing to do with it but I've convinced myself it's because I ate a mammoth amount of cassava this month Hmm ?!) We managed to swi at least every other day over the past week or so, so feel like we may be in with a good chance this month, or at least we've done all we can anyway.

babybrain3 · 18/06/2011 18:11

Wow peapop that's good going, you should have it covered!!!

Dp and I have had a blazing row and haven't been speaking since Thursday, so I can quite safely say that DTD is completely out of the question atm. Hopefully we will have sorted ourselves out by the time I ov..

Is there anyone left that is testing tomorrow??

BunMyOven · 18/06/2011 19:43

Hi everyone!

Trope so sorry to hear about AF getting you, I so wanted this to be your month. Hope you're ok?
Still haven't heard about the sea-front place (grrr) just waiting for one bit of paper work to get to the agents, everything else seem to be fine though so, without any bad luck it should all go ahead this week. It's on Victoria Terrace (next to the King Alfred leisure centre) so not far from where you used to live. Lovely area.

Thanks for the advice on exercise before the blood test - unfortunately it didn't work though! All the midwifes and nurses seem very impressed with how deep my veins are (me, not so much). So had to have 3 viles of blood taken from my hand whilst trying to entertain DS in his pram because my partner couldn't make it - ended up singing "Mummy's fiiiine" to a worried looking 2yo whilst thinking "fuuuuuck this hurts!", 'twas surreal Grin

Got a letter through yesterday with a date for my first scan which has perked me up whilst dealing with this sickness.

Sorry to hear about AF, the old cowbag getting people!

Weimy, glad to see you've decided to have another go this month and I really hope you get your BFP Smile

(early) Congratulations Toddle! How lovely!

Sorry if I've missed any news, a lot happens on this thread in a week! Smile

Carlitawantsababy · 19/06/2011 10:39

Oh bun sounds painful!
peapop well done! My plan for this month is swi every other day all month. I told dh yesterday that he needs to take his vitamins as he's going to be exhausted!
lugsie can't believe that! Our testing gang, in tatters!
I was coming onto see if there was any news- anyone? Was hoping for at least one father's day BFP! Unless Emma is lurking with one it doesn't look like there's much hope!
I think I'd like a queen of the cycles type of character to blame when it isn't really af's fault but the whole world (month) gone wrong - misleading symptoms etc... Can any one think of a character who may fit the bill?! Grin

JamaicanSunshine · 19/06/2011 13:48

Hi all,

Seems like more bad news than good news. SIGH.
Did the test and waited in agony only to get a negative sign. :(
And he was so looking forward to this more than i think even i was.
well i'm just gonna wait on AF and then decide if we want to try again. Better Luck Next time everybody.

weimy · 19/06/2011 14:14

Sorry about Af Girls :(

OP posts:
babybrain3 · 19/06/2011 21:07

Well I did a test just because I said I was going to today... Ot was a bfn as expected, AF due tomorrow. Here's to next month....

BabySade · 20/06/2011 10:01

Hi everyone,
I'm BabySade (29) TTC baby number 1, this is cycle 8 for me.
AF is due between tomorrow and Thursday. Have been POAS for
Last few days, all Bfn (-:
I was on the thread a while back but have a had laptop
problems, my DH has kindly lent me his iPhone for the day
Anyway hello to all the oldies & the newbies. I'm struggling a bit
to work the phone so not sure of any news. Fingers crossed
for lots of BFPs!

stuffthenonsense · 20/06/2011 10:51

oh i am disappointed for all those with BFN/AF.

i have had +OPK over the weekend and we have been like smitten teenagers (hes 50 and now knackered) so i am really really hoping we have covered all possibilities for this month.

my veins are crap too, well they are actually very effective, as soon as the wall is broken it seals itself, so blood tests are impossible, but i am unlikely to bleed to death. i always ask for a phlebotomist and a paediatric sized needle...that helps.

peapop · 20/06/2011 13:00

Oh no so sorry about the bfns Sad
7dpo and I've felt really queezy all day long, there's a tummy bug doing the rounds at work though, fx I'm not the next victim and that this is an early symptom!

weimy · 20/06/2011 15:17

fx peapop xxx

OP posts:
RosyRosie · 20/06/2011 16:51

month 2 of TTC and I tested as early as I could - negative. Oh well, still a chance. So I wait for my period - doesn't arrive, a day later I test - 3 negatives.

Still no period but I'm thinking 3 negatives is pretty conclusive? :(

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 20/06/2011 21:05

hello ladies! thanks to the encouragement I got earlier, I went to see the doctor last week as I was worried about whether to worry whether I'm ovulating, as I have a very irregular cycle and sometimes it's very heavy. she was really nice and helpful and I'm to go back for blood tests between days 1 to 5 of my next cycle. of course hoping I won't have a next one!

anyway, CD 17 here. almost anyone's guess when/if I ovulated as CM signs are all over the place, plus I had spotting and cramping on CD12. but we have managed lots of SWI this month. so we're doing our bit even if my body isn't!

FX for us all - this thread needs some good news!!

if anyone is doing the stats again, would you mind giving me a line of my own as I'm tangled up with someoneelse at the moment (very cosy - maybe I shouldn't complain Wink)

Carlitawantsababy · 21/06/2011 11:47

Wow! Sounds hopeful for rosy and wouldbe! FX Grin
peapop were all 3 in one day? Sometimes it takes a while for a line, keep testing every day till you know?!

Lugsie · 21/06/2011 14:11

Rosy theres still hope till af arrives - do you know when you're due? Or how many DPO you are? FX for you.

wouldbe glad your doctor was helpful but as you say lets hope you don't have to go back at all!

peapop - sounds promising!

No news from me - CD5 so af is still here. Me & DH are both pretty stressed at work at the mo so he's just announced this morning that he's taking me away for the weekend to give us a bit of time to chill... I think its a bit soon for OV but it will be nice just to spend some quality time with DH, can't wait Smile - all this TTC business has only added to the stress levels so will be great to have a chance to calm down and refocus, exactly what I need right now!

RosyRosie · 21/06/2011 17:02

Thanks Lugsie but AF arrived today with a vengeance! I don't know when anything happens really, I took my coil out so it's all been up in the air since then - at least now I have a couple of periods under my belt.

Getting a little worried as my work is seasonal and very physically demanding (self employed and stopping work is not an option) and the baby would fit in nicely feb/mar/april but much further and things start to get sticky...don't want to have to shine it on for another year!

toddle · 21/06/2011 22:08

Hello ladies hope all is well.

Only have a moment to spare but the other day i was feeling a bit down about the TTC and lack of BFP (other then every other woman around me :L ) and someone recommended a book to me.

The Baby Trail by Sinead Moriarty. So i bought it and have read it. I think its awesome made me laugh, cry and smile.

So ive read it once and its great. Would anyone like me to send it to them. Free no charge then you could maybe pass it on to another person on the thread if they would like to read it also. Could be like a little book club just with one book :L.

Well let me know or pm me. Im of to post office in the morning so can post it then if theres any takers?

JamaicanSunshine · 21/06/2011 22:31

So i see most of us are gearing up for next month.
Good Luck to all those that still have a little hope of this month.
Hubby got all moody because i mistook some female hormone pills for his vitamins.......Now he understands the mood swings Grin
Next cycle seems so far away and he says he wants to go again........So on to next cycle.
and Toddle i'd love that book but i'm so far away. Is there an e-book copy or something? well let me know.

eurochick · 21/06/2011 22:36

toddle, I'd like it. Shall I PM you my address?

toddle · 21/06/2011 22:42

Hello. Sorry you live so far away. Try amazon they sometimes let you read the book online.

Yeah PM me your address then when your done you can pass it on to anyone else who would want it from the thread :)

Hope you enjoy it as much as i did.

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 21/06/2011 22:59

I know what you mean toddle about everyone else getting BFPs! Another girl at work has just announced she's expecting in Dec. she's ever so nice, so I did the right thing and said congratulations and chatted a bit with her, but reading the e-mail announcing it made me feel so down - which is silly and selfish I know - her having a baby doesn't stop me having one, but I want it to be my turn!! stamps feet Blush

1sttimetryer · 21/06/2011 23:22

Hello, im new to all this, please can i join?!

BabySade · 21/06/2011 23:50

I read the baby trail a few years ago and loved it, may have to dig it out again. Sorry to hear AF has got some of you. I've got my usual period cramps starting so I think I'm out. As usual I had convinced myself it would be this month. Onwards to cycle 9! Hope someone gets a nice BFP to give us all hope
