confused

so i finished my first round of fertomid 50 and had a scan + the follicular maturation one,,,so here the result, on the 10thday of cycle no dominant follicle , endometrial thickness measures 3.4mm, uters is anterverted and 6.8 * 2.5cms
uterine myometrium shows homogeneous echo texture, no evidence of solid or cystic mass lesion
both ovaries appear normal in size, no adnexal mass is seen,,,so did scab again on 13th day and he said i have one follicle on my right ovary which measures 8 * 10 mm,,,(which should have been big, according to him) and Endometrial Thickness 4.6mm,,,,i dnt know where i went wrong :/ have been tryn for a baby for abt a year now,,husband's results came normal,,help :( am 23,,,and thses r new to me..

Sounds like a good plan to get to see a permanent doc. Hope you get to see him / her soon

In the meantime, let's hope we both get our BFPs this time round

i dnt have that much hope after knowing the fact that i have short luteal phase..anyways i have ordered vitamin B6, dnt know when i will get it though, may be end of this month,,,hehe so again waiting

Oh am OK thanks; can't believe we have our appt on Monday, seems like it's come around really quickly.

Think my body is gearing to ovulate all on its own (no clomid or anything this cycle) so I'm quite pleased that everything's working!

DH and I are going away at the weekend - the two of us and my parents are going to stay with his father - so that will keep us occupied until our consultation

so u think thsi cycle u r goin to ovulate early or late?

anyways i think its good thing u r goin away for a while,,take ur minds off everything else and just enjoy :),,may be less stress might even work out :)

yes considering the fact that u r not on any kinds of meds this cycle i think its great news,,,,btw have u guys tried IUI?

Hi, no we haven't tried IUI because everything seems to be working in terms of my tubes and DH's swimmers so our consultant didn't think that IUI would help

We are lucky enough to have funding for IVF so thought we'd go straight for that. I say "straight for that" but we have been TTC for 3yrs so we just want things to hurry up tbh!

also did scan tonyt,,,unfortunately there is no dominant follicle yet,,i have a feeling this cycle also goin to go as waste,,,and can u belive it,,,they dnt even have FSH injections also in ere :(

Hi I am on cd16 today so if I don't fall pg this month, I will start the drugs in about 5 weeks time.

Is the new doc going to give you more clomid? Or anything else? Great that they are not too worried though, am sure you'll be fine.

u know i did my test on CD16, since he asked me to do soon

LH 9.54 miu/ml
FSH 5 miu/ml
prolactin 15.9 ng

When do you think you ovulated? I know what the FSH / LH levels mean if you have them done on CD2 or 3 but I am a bit about why the Dr wanted you to have them done mid way through your cycle...?

Minx I dug out my old blood tests to get the range that is considered "normal" mid-cycle:

For FSH, it's 4.7 - 21.5
For LH, it's 14 - 95

So it looks like your levels are normal for just before ovulation.

I don't have any info on prolactin though.

Do you know why your Dr wants you to go onto Metformin? I thought it was a drug that was designed to lower insulin resistance and / or testosterone levels

i dnt think i ovulated before the test....since there is a decrease in CM, its difficult to predict,,but i think my boobs will give a sign if i ovulate

yes he wouldnt tell (again a new doc) y he prescribed it,,,he thinks i shouldnt have taken clomid, since its not effecting me,,but he did say that the metformin would help me respond to other drugs,,,it gets me giddy though,,,and he advised me to take some sugary stuff each time i feel that way...he then said result is ok (i did as soon as he asked me to do the test, he didnt say any specific day) and asked me to go back when i get AF, and would tell me what medication he planned to use

anyways i ordered fertilaid for women and fertility tea...may be its time i take matters to my hands.

Oh that's interesting, I have heard that metformin can make people more receptive to other meds so I am sure it will work for you [csmile]

I will keep you posted on what's going on with me - currently on 8DPO so I reckon I have another 6 days until AF and then I make my appt to get my IVF drugs (although won't start taking them until CD21)

Hi minx it's been a long weekend for us because of prince William getting married and we get another bank holiday for may day so I've had a lovely few days! DH and I have just been hanging out and taking our hound for long walks in the country.

How are you? What have you been up to?

I think AF is about to start so I am now just getting ready for ivf ... I have to have blood tests on cd3 so I hope AF starts soon otherwise I'll have to find somewhere open on the weekend!
