confused

so i finished my first round of fertomid 50 and had a scan + the follicular maturation one,,,so here the result, on the 10thday of cycle no dominant follicle , endometrial thickness measures 3.4mm, uters is anterverted and 6.8 * 2.5cms
uterine myometrium shows homogeneous echo texture, no evidence of solid or cystic mass lesion
both ovaries appear normal in size, no adnexal mass is seen,,,so did scab again on 13th day and he said i have one follicle on my right ovary which measures 8 * 10 mm,,,(which should have been big, according to him) and Endometrial Thickness 4.6mm,,,,i dnt know where i went wrong :/ have been tryn for a baby for abt a year now,,husband's results came normal,,help :( am 23,,,and thses r new to me..

Just wanted to say a) don't give up hope for this cycle as you can still ovulate, it might just be a bit later than the Drs would like (that happened to me on my first round of clomid ... and b) it's great that you've been monitored so closely so they can increase your dose next cycle if you don't fall pg this time round

It's hard bumping into pg ladies after finding out that the drugs aren't doing what they are meant to ... but just because you're not about to ov today, doesn't mean that you can't get a BFP this month and even if you don't, with the increased dosage, you'll be super fertile next cycle

i hope so,,,u know am confused about y the follicle stayed same size for all these days,,,and also i was wondering without ovulation AF wont occur right, so y did he asked me to when i get my AF (meaning to occur AF i need to get ovulation),,isnt late ovulation bad? thought it was all about finding the day i ovulate , early or late

and heres another thing which worried me, before CD23, one day before i think, i got egg white runny mucus, again on CD22, and CD23...i even told him, but doc thinks ovulation wont occur

and now my boobs have started paining little, specially after i take my bra off,,,this happened last time about 2 weeks before my AF, does this means its about to occur again?

am soo confused about this whole thing,,hehe and am pouring all this on ere , bothering u like anything :(

and i read that people use FSH and meds to make them grwo,,i was wondering whether it is ok to use any of them at this stage,,( i called the doc and shared him my worried, he said to go there tomorrow he wud prescribed some meds)

so if u know any better one please share :)

Hi, runny / EWCM and sore boobs sound like an oestrogen surge to me ... which happens a couple of days before ovulation. So it sounds like you might well be ovulating.

Also, you can have AF without ovulating so don't worry, even if you don't ovulate, your AF can still come.

You can use FSH and things like clomid to increase follicle size but I don't know how they mix with the other meds you are on. I take clomid but I do it really early on in my cycle so I don't know if you can use it now ... but hopefully your Dr will have more answers.

yes so im goin to the doc in few minutes,,,i used fertomid on CD5 of my last cycle, aparently fertomid and clomid are the same thing,,,lets see what the doc prescribe today :)

it was just a waste of time!,,he said i wont ovulate this time, and that FSH injection and others not available here in maldives....

i feel so helpless :(,,,really disappointed :(

Ooooooh Minx don't be too . It must be a real disappointment but even if you don't ovulate this month, then you will be on a higher dose next cycle which makes you much more likely to ovulate next time round.

And remember that everything else - like the endometrium - was doing the right thing. When some people take clomid, their endometrium gets thinner so implantation can't happen, at least you know yours stays thick and that's good news

Also, my consultant was adamant that I wouldn't ovulate on my first cycle of clomid but I did - our bodies don't always listen to what Drs tell them they are supposed to do.

I think it means you are in the middle of an oestrogen and LH surge and will ovulate in the next 24 / 36 hrs ... wouldn't it be good if you fell pg this cycle and could go back and tell the Dr how surprised you are given that he said you wouldn't ovulate!

Seriously though, if you are getting all of those symptoms, I'm not sure what else it could be ..?

How big is the follicle now? They grow 2mm each day so you could have another 4mm to go before the end of the LH surge

the last time i checked it was 10.5mm....ive been doing exercises and all and changed my diet even,,its been 2 days since the last time i check,,these symptoms were there in my last cycle also,,

its growing,,even at a snails phase,,lol,,,i dnt know whats wrong with my body,,,may be something wrong with the scan machine as my husband points out,,anyways we r planning to BD tonyt :/ lets see what happens, whether i get my period or preg :)

SO, if your follicle was 10.5mm two days ago, then it could be 14.5mm now which is just the right time for an LH surge to get ready to ovulate at 18mm in a couple of days time ... definitely the right time for BDing!

FWIW, my consultant told me that follicles can speed up towards the end (as smaller follicles shrink back so there's more FSH for the biggy) so chances are it is still doing its thing. Sometimes our bodies just need a bit more time to get things done on their own

yes if they grow 2mm per day then mine shud be around 14..its just the slow phase,,argh!,,may be the exercise has worked and the sleeping hormones have waken up...well,,,we would only know towards the very end of my cycle,,,

Hi, yes we are continuing TTC naturally as there's always hope. I feel we are blessed to live in a time where IVF is available and where we get financial help from our health service to pay for it ... but I know it is still a gamble. I guess all any of us can do is to have faith that what is meant to happen will happen and to try to have the patience and strength to wait for it.

I do appreciate the good wishes and prayers though - after 3 yrs it is a real lift to have other people hoping for us too.

In terms of your situation, I have been amazed at how quickly some of my follicles have grown towards the end of the follicular phase - the first time I took clomid, I was told at CD12 that I didn't have any follicles big enough to ovulate at CD14 but blood tests showed that I did ovulate at CD 14 or 15 so I am keeping my fingers crossed that your follicle does the same thing and that you get a BFP before you need to think about increasing your drug dosage,

i know people who were tryn for like 14 years and ended up getting preg,,so 3 years is not long enough to worry or lose hope.....

u know i dnt see any mucus today :/ may be i ovulated yday,,if so may be we BD'd too late,,anyways i told u about me having a runny egg whiteish CM right,,we BD'd then,,,so hoping for the best,,,

indeed GOD gives us things not when we wanted but when we needed,,,so it must be because we wernt ready for it that HE didnt give us baby yet,,,,and this time hopefully we will be given our dreams :D

Well nobody is totally sure what's up with us; I have PCOS but do seem to ovulate and DH has low morphology although not low enough to be considered a massive problem.

No signs yet ... am 13 or 14 DPO so I might test if AF hasn't shown up by the weekend. I reckon we'll have one more cycle before the IVF drugs so even if it doesn't work for us this time round, next month might be our lucky cycle!

yes except for teh sore boobs...temp seems higher than before,,,not basal temperature just the normal body temperature,,,cm is almost absent

Oooooh, well I think your temps only go up if you have ovulated as it's caused by the increase in progesterone that only happens once an egg is on its way down the fallopian tubes - hurrah for you!

Not yet ... but quite often AF can be a bit delayed if I'm working really hard and i have been flat our for the last few days so we'll see. Sort of expecting it to turn up tomorrow but am obviously keeping my fingers crossed xxx

My luteal phase can be anything from 13 to 15 days and I'm 15 DPO today so I'm going to wait until tomorrow and then test. no symptoms though so not expecting anything particularly exciting!
