Charting question

Slow rising temps after ovulation -
Does anyone else have this, or experience of it? I am charting and using OPK, and I notice after the day that the ovulation kit goes positive, my temps do not make a massive jump. They go up a little for a couple of days, and then move into the 98s and stay there until my period.
I have read this can happen. I suppose what I'm worrying about is whether this signals something bad, like a lack of progesterone (I have had miscarriages). Thanks for reading.

Hi iggy999 your temps sound fine. Have you got the book ' Taking charge of your fertility' by Toni Weschler there's a lot of explanation in that about charting, but basically when the temps start to go up and stay up shows that ovulation has happened. Not everyone gets a big surge of a dip before.
Good luck keep going.

I think this is normal, I was using www.fertilityfriend.com which works it all out for you based on your temps. I think you had to have a sustained rise of more than .2 of a degree to indicate ovulation. That's in celcius.

It's free to join and use and I found it incredibly helpful as it took us 13 months TTC DD1.

Thanks guys, that's reassuring. I'm slightly Blush to say that I use fertilityfriend and have the Toni Weschler book!

Ii'm the same and my body also takes a long time to adjust after AF turns up. So, I'd say it's just a slow reaction that your body has, nothing else. Come and join the 'charters' thread where you can stalk other's charts and mostly likely will find an answer to all of your questions!

Thanks Scrummybumb. I have indeed lurked on that thread once or twice!
I suppose as I'm looking for a cause/treatment regarding miscarriage, anything on my chart that looks a bit different to the one in the book, I'm very suspicious/paranoid about Smile
