Good luck!!!

MummyAbroad · 01/04/2011 13:20

Hi mouse I was about to cheer the good news that the GP was so helpful, and you got DC school place - but now I see evil boss is back to being an arse again! I hope HR gave her a good telling off.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 01/04/2011 14:25

mouse yay for the school places - bet it's a big relief? Grin

Your boss is truly an arse though, just ignore her, put your feet up and relax x

Blackkat · 01/04/2011 15:46

Just checking in - mental day at work! Pleased that you got the school place mouse but Angry about your bitch boss, surely she must realise that she can't do anything about pregnancy related absence Angry stupid woman.

About the reflexology, my lady, who specialises in sub fertility and ante-natal said it was fine during all 40 weeks, just that she'd work different parts of the system depending what week you are.

to everyone, Zam nice to to see you

mousebacon · 01/04/2011 17:35

Thank you for all the Angry faces re my loony boss! You lot do cheer me up!
I'm so thrilled to not think about work I just booked a lovely log cabin for next weekend! Woop - hot tub and everything. Fingers crossed for sunshine please! Grin

I spoke to DS's new big boy school today and they've got our place confirmed. Am so pleased!

Nice glass of wine tonight I think, well, it is Friday! Mmm... Wine

Velvetcu · 01/04/2011 19:48

grrrr mouse your boss is making me really angry! She is not allowed to contact you whilst off sick. I was actually talking to another teacher at work about this today and she said her friend sued a head who did that and won lots of compensation! Extreme I know but it proves the point.

Your log cabin sounds wonderful Grin Just completely relax and enjoy it.

mousebacon · 01/04/2011 21:18

Grin Grin Grin

Youremindmeofthebabe · 01/04/2011 21:22

Where's the cabin? My pals have just got back from a cabin in Delhi forest in Yorkshire, they said it was lush!

AandRMum · 01/04/2011 21:32

Oooo good researching Zam. I am trying to get my tests next week. Between gallstones, thyroid issues, weight gain etc etc - how is it that woman still live longer than men!?! I am pretty sure mine is progesterone related - my hair is falling out by the handful. Sorry for the whole me me me thing but I have so many questions and the NHS just doesn't seem to be able to answer them as well as you all can! If I am to get my progesterone tested do I get a saliva test or blood tests? Is taking something like Natural Progesterone worth trying or will it mess with any test I get done. Have an irrational fear that all my hair will fall out and I will end up bald or completely grey!

Mouse I assume you are talking schools? We find out on Monday! Your boss has issues!

Big congrats Blackat!!

AandRMum · 01/04/2011 21:35

hmm somehow missed an entire page worth of posts! Cabin sounds a treat mouse

brokenbarrenbrook · 02/04/2011 07:27

Morning all, on way into work Sad, I hate working weekends, especially when it's going to be good weather and DH is off.

Anyhoo, just popped in to see how you're all doing.

blackat lovely news, congratulations! Here's to a very quiet 8 months

bee I think I booked to see Shehata as I felt like I couldn't sit back and almost wait for history to repeat itself if that makes any sense? Who knows it could be nothing. I've had a couple of bouts of alopecia areata on my head, one during my last two mc, which has been dismissed by the Consultant and by St Mary's, it's an autoimmune disorder which makes me think there might actually be something wrong. Perhaps see if you can get an appointment like digi suggested and get him to refer you to a specialist in NZ. Worth a try. Hope things aren't too stressful for you chick. Oh and I almost forgot, how are the twinges????!! I'm mentalling already and only CD 15 after ovulating CD 11, this morning I have cramps. Fishes at the ready.

digi thanks for the info on your appointment and Shehata, would be very interested in hearing about your follow up appt. Lets hope he can help us both. Fingers crossed!

A&R welcome back love

oneyear welcome to our little thread, it's a lovely place!

freelance sorry for your loss and welcome to the thread. Hope things aren't too painful or sad for you at the mo.

YRMOTB how are the wedding plans?

jolls are you back to a solid life yet? And does jollsjunior have any clothes left??

hello to everyone else, mouse, mummya, velvet, izzy, zam, loola, wiggle & freezing (hope I've not missed anyone)

Have a good weekend all

randomimposter · 02/04/2011 08:29

eeek much to catch up on whilst I've been sanitising and laundering... will settle down with a cuppa to catch up but hope all is well.

BBB sorry you're working :(. I didn't used to mind weekends actually (easy to say when you're not doing it anymore I know), I used to like a quiet day or two in the week. Hope not too stressful in the gorge borough you dedicate protection to today Wink.

Things definitely better here on the D&V front, although TMI alert, but I put DS in a bath this morning when he woke as he was very wet and a bit mucky/snotty. He was very happy in the bubbles as I got on with chores but on reflection suspiciously quiet. When I emptied the bath he had done a loose poo... that's his first poo in the bath ever, at nearly 3 I guess I've done ok to get this far!!! And BBB, thanks for the wardrobe concerns, he has SO many blimmin' clothes, he'll be ok. [saddowhobuysfartoomanychildren'sclothesemoticon]

batteryhen · 03/04/2011 17:11

< pokes head in ......Hellooooooooo?>

I swear you lot have far more exciting lives than me

brokenbarrenbrook · 03/04/2011 17:14

Mine's not exciting battery, I've been to work. Rubbish. So it's you AND me that have non exciting lives Grin

OP posts:
randomimposter · 03/04/2011 17:50

mine's the total opposite of exciting. Particularly at the moment. FFS I posted about a poo in the bath yesterday BlushHmmGrin. QED.

Freezingmyarseoff · 03/04/2011 18:15

yeah I've got a really exciting life. I've been, er, painting and then, um, watching it dry ConfusedBlush

AF arrived yesterday so have been mooching around with a hot water bottle. I might even join the list this month wahey Hmm

But mostly feeling a bit down as took my sister to airport today - she's going away for 9 months. Was a bit tearful saying goodbye Sad

Tis very quiet on here in the last few days. I hope everyone is okay.

mousebacon · 03/04/2011 19:31

Helloooooo.

Have had a lovely day Smile DS had made me a card at nursery and DH had bought a fab bunch of flowers. I also had breakfast in bed! However the dishes every pot and pan have all been left for me!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/04/2011 19:59

I don't have a very exciting life either...my day has consisted of going to church, helping dcs with homework, taking them to Taekwon do and falling asleep in front of a Wallace and Gromit film Blush

freezing I would be Sad at that too, my dsis keeps talking about living abroad for a year and I know I would hate it.

jolls sorry but your poo in the bath story made me Grin. It's been quite some time since we had that kind of episode here (and even then they were both in the bath together so I was always fairly promptly notified by the non-offender!)

ZamMummyInGabs · 03/04/2011 21:06

Not much going on here either, though I did manage to flood half the house yesterday evening by leaving the bath running for over an hour....BlushHmm
Fortunately we have neither carpets nor an upstairs, but we do have a wet/dry hoover.
As it's just me & DS2 atm (DH & DS1 have gone on a walking holiday in the Lakes) I wanted to weep/scream/curl up in a ball. But no, 2 hours of hoovering later we both went to bed. It was 9pm.
All fine (and dry) today though and I assembled my chair-made-out-of-an-exercise-ball and did some filing and plenty electronic gadgetry/ebay shopping Grin. Tomorrow I should get my thyroid results, which I have of course already convinced myself (with Dr Google's able assistance) will indicate previously undetected hypothyroidism and thus solve all my problems in a flash with one small pill Biscuit
Will keep you up to date on that one.....

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/04/2011 21:13

Good luck with the test results tomorrow zam hope you get some answers!

MummyAbroad · 03/04/2011 21:33

another non exiting life over here too. I am posting from my sick bed, DS has been packed of to granny's and DH is working. If I didnt feel so rotton it would be great to indulge in some me time - or go shopping !

but alas, its just me and MN and youtube and occasionally struggling into the front room to watch telly.

9+3 today and hoping the MS disappears at 10 weeks and I can get my life back!! Also hoping next scan is OK, I am going to book one for when I am 10 weeks as last bean died at 9.5, almost exactly one year ago today.

good luck tomorrow Zam I know what you mean about wanting a definite answer and a plan of action. Fingers x

jolls giggle at poo story. I am sure it was less funny being there though. Glad things are getting better.

mousebacon · 04/04/2011 09:11

Did you get your place AandR ??

Youremindmeofthebabe · 04/04/2011 12:30

bbb I used to hate working weekends. Still do one in 4, and used to hate having to get up leaving dp warm and snuggly in bed. I used to love the day off in the week all to myself though.

I have been busy, of boring things, mainly. Been swimming, visiting fMIL and fSIL who is now over due her baby, from friday just gone. Went for a walk, caught up with other friends, and just generally beavered about. Did body pump at the gym, feel a little stiff and sore. Nothing of particular interest really.

zam I'm interested in hearing about your results. I too am self diagnosing! Hope it all goes well.

freezing I waved my best pal off last January for 11 months. It was very hard, but we skyped a fair bit, as much as you can in South AmericaGrin and it raced by really. Is lovely to have her back now though. I wish I could do the same really, but there's not much chance of that with Mortgage, schools, etc unfortunately.

aandr Hope the schools admissions went ok, I'm a little scared now!

ma retail therapy- there's a thought.

waves to everyone else, hope your Monday is going ok.

AandRMum · 04/04/2011 13:56

Now I have had an exciting life for a moment!!! DH and I escaped to Paris for the weekend while my best friend looked after the DDs. Absolutely lovely.

Sorry you are ill MummyA - fingers crossed for a lovely scan to make up for feeling rubbish.

your ppor carpets Zam* DD1 did something similar during a party which resulted in a water feature in the living room - thankfully the buyers for the house couldn't turn up to the party!

freezing completely empathise - I am the one who left some 12 years ago now and my sister still hasn't forgiven me!! We skype loads and it never feels like I have been away when I visit her.

No school results here yet - nothing in the post so I'll have to wait until it comes out electronically around 5pm - no nail biting happening over this way (crunch crunch)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 04/04/2011 15:13

Oooh good luck aandr - might be worth checking earlier, we are always told 4-5pm and with ds they didn't come out until 10 past 5 but with dd they were out at 2pm!

zam - any word on the test results?

yrmotb sounds like a good weekend, I feel quite guilty now about slubbing around. I too would love to do the travelling thing again, I did suggest to dh we pulled them out of school for a year and did it but he was having none of it! Grin
