so Af got me again this morning.

Came off pill Dec 09. Irregular for 6 cycles. Medical herbalist treated me and last six cycles have been 33 days exactly. so it's been well over a year now for us trying.

Body giving all the right signs, but just not getting pregnant.

Have booked an appt for me and DH to see GP on friday. I started a thread a while ago asking what i should ask for, but with wedding preps and stuff haven't got round to seeing GP yet.

I have no idea what to expect. I'm scared to be honest.

I have a DS from a previous relationship, DH has no children. he's assuming therefore that the problem is with him.

sorry to hear af came again for you.
Did you get the info you asked about re the tests from your thread?
I have had day 21 progesterone test and day 1-5 I was tested for LH, FHS, prolactin, thyroid and rubella immunity. DP also gave a sample. all results came back within a week or so. It wasn't a scary appointment at all and to be honest it was a relief to be doing something about it. Good luck and congrats on your wedding!

hi Ninja

yes i got good responses on the other thread, need to find it again to print off as i have 'misplaced' the original i did.

I did have problems conceiving DS because of irregular cycles and was really fobbed off by my then GP. I had one blood test, at some random day in the cycle and was told it was all normal. I now realise that she wasn't taking me seriously at all, but back then had no idea about the ins and outs of day 21 etc.
Fortunately i'm with a different surgery now and they seem to be much better, so hoping we get a good response on Friday.

Hello, Im ttc and have been for 17 months have 1 dd whos nearly 4 and I am currently undergoing fertility checks. I originally got referred to a gyn as gp thought I had polyps on my cervix (I don't but do have cervical erosion which may be causing a problem but may not be) oh and Ive had bleeding between periods on a couple of occasions so that had to be checked out. I've had day 4 and day 21 blood tests, Ive been examined and had swabs taken like a smear and Ive had external and internal scans. It was all very dignified with a sheet to cover you up as much as possible and not uncomfortable at all. DH has had to produce 2 samples 6 weeks apart, done at home but to be at hospital within an hour, pop the pot in a green bag and hand it in. Im waiting to see gyn for results but from being referred to seeing gyn again for results it's taken 2 and a half months so not long really and far more comfortable and dignified than I expected.

We had investigations before we had DD. I had a lap and dye and found nothing wrong. DH gave a specimin, again nothing wrong. We got a different gynae who gave me a VUSS and found I had polycystic ovaries. He lasered them and I started on the route to assistance. I had one go at clomid and hated the effects. DH was offered a job in Oman so we went. We'd already decided that we would be childless.
One shag was all it took, dd is 10 in May.
