I'd just like some thoughts on the likelihood of my being pregnant, I think maybe it's too early to test and am skint so don't really want to spend the money unless am sure there's a definite need iykwim

Ok, so I'm on the pill, have been for about 5 months now, I am a bit crap with it, but for the most part not remembering until evening to take it (usually take in the morning) but I did miss two in last months packet. Is microgynon pill btw.

Am half way through current pack, had bleed on my last breakal as norm, lasted for about 5 days, was a bit lighter than usual but not massively so I thought all was well. Now though, I have weird dragging feeling in lower abdo, boobs are slightly sore but that could just be me looking for more symptoms.
Could be totally unrelated but I'm itchy too, for the last few days my arms have being driving me insane with itchyness, now it's spread to my back. No rash and I presumed allergic reaction.

I'm confused about it all though, if I'm pregnant is it from missing pills in last months packet? In which case how come I got my bleed? If it's more recent, would I even have symptoms yet? and is it worth me testing now or not?

I'm feeling like a complete idiot right now, dithering about wtf to do or think Blush

I'd say you won't know anything until your period is due as you're on pill. Try to ignore the symptoms, you won't be able to test til when you're due anyway.

The first thing i would do is stop taking the pill if its a possiblity that your pregnant. Contraceptive pills can be the cause of ectopic pregnancy.

I would personally fork out for a test, or go to your GP and ask them to test your urine for you.

Gook Luck!

Thanks, I haven't taken todays pill just incase and won't take any more this month now. I might wait a few days and see if I get the bleeding I should when I stop taking them before paying out for test

Thanks for helping

I honestly don't think it sounds like you are. You're relatively new to the pill and it can cause all kinds of freaky symptoms. My legs used to get so itchy I would take layers of skin off scratching at them for some relief! Sore boobs are also fairly common on the pill, if you're not pregnant, and the symptoms continue, it's probably worth chatting to your GP about switching you onto a different kind of pill. Personally, I never settled on microgynon so the doctor put me on marvelon, which suited me perfectly.

I'd Suggest if you're not wanting a baby set an alarm in your phone to remind you to take your pill, worked for me! Only forgot twice in 2 years!

AmandaCooper · 16/03/2011 07:00

Which pills did you miss? It's incredibly unlikely, so try not to worry.

Hi again, thanks for the help last week looking for a bit more advice now if anyone can help?
I haven't taken any pills for a week now, haven't had a withdrawal bleed yet, and have even more symptoms. My boobs are killing me, very very sore nipples, nausea when I'm getting hungry and still have the dragging feeling in lower abdomen.
I did a test two days ago and it was negative, I'm more confused now than I was last week!
Is stopping the pills giving me these symptoms now? Bloody hormones are doing my head in Confused

leave it a week and do another one and if thats negative you're not up the duff.

messing around with your pills can fuck your hormones about and make you feel like shit.

Magnesium helps with sore boobs if it is just hormonal changes. Cheap tests available in amazon get a few for a few quid.
