Hi everyone,

I'm new here but hope to join you all soon!

My partner and I have decided to TTC our first child. We decided this about a month ago but wanted to leave it 2 months as we live in a shared house with a friend and wanted to sort out our accommodation first.

About a month ago I went to the GP and asked for my implant to be taken out and to go on the pill for a month instead. Now, the implant couldn't be taken out at the time (it comes out tomorrow) so I've been on implanon and microgynon for the past month. I'm going to stay on the pill for one more pack and then we will stop! Will this make it more difficult to Concieve - Being on both contraceptives and then stopping? Also I've been feeling sick and had bad headaches since starting microgynon- anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks in advance x

Hi I wouldn't have thought it would make a huge amount of difference being on both for just a month.

I used to get sick and have headaches about 2years into having Implanon - this stopped when I was on the pill to sort out my cycle a bit!

I always tok Microgynon. Came off it and never even had a period as got pregnant instantly Blush midwife told me you are hyper fertile when you first come off the pill, but mst women don;t find thi out as they wait a bit when coming off before TTC - we wren't TTc by the way Blush anyway have lovely lovely DS now age 3 and a half
