Hello all, am a newbie, be nice!

I have had pregnancy symptoms for past few weeks, sickness, dizzy when standing up, funy smells, tiredness and an unbelievable thirst, but a week ago I had a bleed. I had lost track of my cycle, we are just shagging, not trying, and the symptoms made me a little bit hopeful, then the period. It was light and shorter than normal with a few large clots on first day but then mostly just brown stuff for three more days. I thought this meant I was not in fact unduffed.

However, the weird pregnancy symptoms have continued, nausea, dizzy and very thirsty.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Is it just my mind playing tricks with the symptoms?? Has anyone thought they were pregnant had a period and then found out that they actually are preggers??

Yes, I have. Unfortunately the pregnancy turned out to be ectopic in my case, but it is possible to bleed during pregnancy - it's one reason why pregnancies can go undiagnosed.

Try taking a test. If those are pregnancy symptoms you ought to have detectable levels of HCG. And if you are pregnant, get a quick scan to confirm all is well in view of the unusual bleed.

Hi, thanks for your post. I had a worry about an ectopic the other day when I had ten minutes of weird shoulder pain but it went away after a quick massage from OH.

Maybe I should test...... get a bit worried about over testing, have a history of testing while I was on pill cos of odd days and a desire for a baby.

I can see where you're coming from, but you really should listen to your body. I only tested because I felt pregnant and thank God I did.

Let me know how you get on [nosy].

Hi, I second Rancerdoo - do a test to be sure - and do let us know the result!
