Hiya, this is a bit of a dim question, nonetheless I don't know the answer.
I gave birth to DD2 last July and my periods haven't come back yet. I am still BFing. With DS1, my periods didn't come back for 13 months or so after he was born. I still did BF, but stopped when he was 18 mths because I thought it might help me conceive.
Anyway stupid question is: can you still get pregnant if you're not having periods?
Why do mine take so long to start up again? I'd like to try for DC3 ASAP, but don't know how to if my periods haven't started....thanks for any info!!

as far i was told by my sis in law, you wont get a period all the time you are breast feeding.

and ofcourse its worth trying, better to start now than later if you want another :)

Hi - breastfeeding causes your body to create prolactin, which with high levels can cause lack of AF and although may not stop ovulating acts as a natural contraceptive.

Maybe worth having a blood test done for your levels at GP.

Hope this helps (have spent far too many hours researching prolactin!)
