Do regular(ish) periods = ovulation?

Periods getting back to normal but no positives on ovulation sticks, ever.

Does a regular cycle suggest I'm ovulating but just missing the surge when I (remember to) test?

Pretty much that's spot on. You are meant to count backwards from first day of af 14 days and that should give you your ov day.

How long you been ttc, my doc always said that if fairly regular26- 32 ish days then you should assume you ov. I think The sticks can be very annoying as if you drank a lot or different time of day etc. They can give unpredictable results

I had problems TTC my second child. I was having (what I thought) periods but in fact they were just bleeds as I wasn't ovulating.

I was on the pill and in some ladies the body doesn't "remember" to start ovulating once the pill is stopped. I had to have clomid and fell on the first month of treatment. I was diagnosed as we were trying for a year (think that is standard before the GP will do any tests) and had blood tests which showed the problems straight away.

i came off the pill last month and my first ovulation seems to be about day 18 of a 27 days cycle. i only peed on ov tick cos i had sore boobs and egg white mucous. you prob just missed it thats all x

I thought the rule was you dont bleed unless you ovulate and you bleed on average 14 days after you ovulate....

if you want to get a rough idea of when you ovulate rather than spending a fortune on pee-sticks, you should take your waking temperature for a month, use a site like fertility friend which will help to pinpoint it. temping is a total pain, but you only have to do it for a month or two to get an idea of how your cycle works and then you can give it up.

because the fourteen day luteal phase (length of time between ovulation and period) is the average, and yours might be quite different
