I only had 21 day blood tests too, but I ovulated slightly later than 14 days so I had to go back and ask them to test later which worked and confirmed I was oving.

Had 6 months, on another 6 after OD now and not being monitored at all as they knew I was oving.

If I was you I would temp for the first few months because when I had my first round few rounds of clomid because they were only doing 21 day bloods I was having them done and being told I didn't ovulate, but I was temping and that showed that I was but that it was around 18 days so at day 21 I'd only ov'd 3 days earlier and hadn't built up enough chemicals for it to show as positive but because I had that knowledge I was able to go back and ask them to change the date to CD25 which showed that I was in fact ovulating.

Temping can kind of replace scanning (although not as reliably) because the scans show how big your follicles are so they can guess when they are likely to pop for ov then they know when to test for ovulation. I'd rather have had the scans too but as a second best back up temping is good.

Hi sallykitten thanks for the reply.
What do you mean by temp? when i had my blood test last month i ovulated 96 which i have been told is quiet high.

If you dont mind me asking why are yu on clomid

I have PCOS. If you take your temperature every morning when you wake up before you get out of bed and record it that can tell you when you have ovulated. The easiest way to do it is to put all the temps into a website like www.fertilityfriend.com which works it all out for you. It is free and has full lessons on how to do it.

If you have been gettig that high on your bloods though I probably wouldn't worry too much about not having scans as you definitely are oving! Temping doesn't tell you until a couple of days after you have ov'd that you have but it helps you plan the next month and made me feel a bit more in control.

I also have PCOS and have a 2 year old already i have ovulation strips that i use

I was told they don't work for some PCOS ladies and I did use them and they didn't give me a correct result so I prefer doing my temp.

Did you have your first baby naturally if you don't mind me asking? Good luck with your trying anyway!
