Conception without periods...

My friend didn't have a period for 2 years because she was on a pill that stopped them and as soon as she stopped taking them she got pregnant without having one cycle.
However, that was artificially stopped. If naturally no periods, doesn't that suggest there is no ovulation and no womb lining being built up every month....??

I was on implanon and then stopped that had 2 periods then went on to take cerazette for about 2-3 months then stopped in decemeber and nothing since.

I had brown blood and 2 small clots when i wiped after going for a wee once about 3 weeks ago but nothing since. (TMI, i know!)
