Too broody to cope!! help.

I've got 2 kids- boy and girl, age 3 and 1. So there's no need to have any more. I'm not in a good financial position.

But Oh. My. God. I want another baby so much!!!

It might be because my sis in law and best friend are both pregnant and it's summer which is when I tend to get pregnant...

What should I do?

Oh dear, I feel your pain, I have 3 and have decided to stop but i really really want another one. It is a constant battle. I find it really difficult to accept thats it, its like an ache.

.Would a 3rd really affect the finances that much ?
Could you channel your broodiness through you SIL and friend's babies? I am trying to do that with two of my friends, I am making a big fuss of them.

Ache is the right word.

Everyone says I'm lucky to have one of each and it's best to just have 2, etc. I'd convinced myself I wasn't having anymore, but I just feel so... ready for another!

The worst thing is, I feel jealous when I find out someone else is pregnant and I've got 2 little toddlers myself, so shouldn't. Attempting to channel the broodiness through SIL and best friend as you said :)

Welcome to my world! I have 2 DCs15 and 12. Im 35, and for the past two or three years, another baby is all I can think about. DP doesnt want another. It isnt getting any better, and there are times when I sit and plot crazy accidents (Which I would never action. I hasten to add). Its becoming an obsession. The 'you have one of each' argument is bullshit! It makes no difference to how you feel whatsoever. I have got to the point where looking in a pram makes me tearful! Im not sure what the answer is, I just wanted to let you know that you arent the only one.

Oh Saggy :( Not good. I think if it's in you to want kids you just want more and more. I've had PND and it still hasn't put me off. It's just like a natural urge to want to get pregnant. I think it's the way we're made up. I think you'll just have to have another... would an 'accident' be so bad? Dp will love the baby no matter what.

I know he would. And thats what makes it so hard when he refuses to commit. And he does this about everything. Its just so wearing steering things towards some kind of action everytime I want anything done. I just dont feel its fair to force this though. It just feels wrong.

One thing that my DH has said that I thought was really clever. He said "You are the one who does most of the hard work, and you are the one who has to carry it for 9 months whilst looking after the other 3, so I will let you decide and I will support you whatever the decision and do my best to help"

I thought this was clever because he managed to make me feel respected but also had a little disclaimer from him Grin. It has certainly taken the pressure off and allowed me to think about it very carefully.

( He works full time, I run my own business and work away most weekends )
