Hi everyone,
I'm new to this and have a few questions that I would like answered if possible.
Me and my DH are currently trying for our 2nd child, the first time it took 3 months to conceive our DD.
However after having her I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I have since been on levothyroxine 25 mg for this condition.
I have been looking on the net recently and have seen that having an underactive thyroid can lead to infertility and taking thyroxine can lead to miscarriage too.
Is this true and has anyone else experienced this? As i'm really getting really worried. I am on the lowest dose and my thyroid function levels are back to normal now.
Any comments I would be most grateful for.
Many thanks x

Hello, and welcome to MN. I think you need to talk about this with your GP; sorry if that's not very helpful.

I know and I understand, just thought that maybe someone out there might have some advice.
I will make an appointment tomorrow.
Thanks x

If you search MN for "thyroxine", there are quite a few threads; perhaps some of them will help? I only glanced at a couple, but they involved pregnant women on the drug, so I guess you're not alone. :)

I haven't read it, but this thread might be helpful. (Sorry if it isn't, I only read a few posts.)

Thanks girls, just checked it out and it was helpful, but I still need to see GP for the specifics for my case.
Hope that you are all well x
