How long from implantation to a BFP?

Please can I ask a little bit of advice? I came off the pill in October and had normal AF in November, then 30 days later AF came in December. In January we properly started SWI and was convinced I was PG but got AF on CD35 with only BFNs before that. AF started immediately after we DTD and commenced (sorry TMI alert) with very red blood. We've SWI'd as much as possible this cycle and now on day 37...no idea whether my cycle should be 30 or 35 days after last months confusion and there's still no sign of AF and I'm still getting BFN's. I thought I might have had some pink spotting on Tuesday (day 34)...anyone know how long from implatation (if that's what it was) until a BFP?? Also, am v nervous about DTD again incase that had an impact last cycle and brought about AF! Any advice greatly welcomed!! Thank you! Smile

Hi BlueCrane

I'm also TTC and have been obsessing about implantation cramps/bleeding and whether it is this or periods. From what I've read through obsessive googling, you can get a BFP from as little as two days past implantation if you use a sensitive one. The biology behind this is that once implantation has occurred, the blastocyst starts to release HCG into your blood stream which gets filtered out through your urine and is detected on a pregnancy test. The longer after implantation, the more HCG, the more likely the test is to be positive.

Hope this helps, good luck!

Also, if things don't work out this month, it might be useful to try using a ovulation predictor kit, especially if your cycle is quite long. Saves the marathon shagging sessions and will save a bit of the consternation regarding timing, implantation etc.

I had a miscarriage over NY and although my cycle used to be quite regular, I ovulated really late this month and would have missed it based on putting my dates in to online ovulation calendars, which predicted my fertile time about 4 days before I even had an LH surge.
