implant bleeding or period??

Can anyone tell me how to tell apart implant bleeding from a period?

Hiya, implantation bleeding is usually alot lighter and shorter than a normal period, and can come up to a week before you are due on. I had implantation bleeding with all 3 of mine. The colour can be different too, it can range from quite pinky to red to brown.
