Hello!

This is my first ever post so please go easy on me! :)

Some wee facts to set the story... My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since October. I am 20 he is 25. Usually my periods are between 28 and 32 days.

Okay, so its been 35 days since my last period... I can usually tell when I'm getting my period cause I get lumpy boobs at the side Blush, a migrane and cramps all a few days before it comes! Heaven I know...

In Feb we defo defo had sex on my "supposed" fertile days, and about 10 days ago I started cramping like nothing else and was really really bloated and gasy! Even my dog wouldnt sit beside me! Blush I was CONVINCED I was gonna get my period but nothing happened - like it actually felt like it was happening just without the blood! Eh?!

This went on for about a week and over the past few days has been coupled with sore boobs (kinda lumpy like when period is due but also feels different at the same time... they just feel big!) Hmm and I'm also really sleepy - another pregnancy sign! Last night I started crying too - why? Dunno! I just wanted to! And I've been getting some headaches as well.

I feel again like I'm going to get my period cause I feel all funny in my lower abdomen but NOTHING!

Tested negative to three pregnancy tests this week and am giving up buying them cause I hate being disappointed! I have a docs app lined up for Tuesday - that will be 40 days since my last period. Will they get a positive if all the hpt are negative?

Do i sound like im pregnant or do I just sound like a desperate hormonal weirdo!? Confused

Any help appreciated as I cant wait till Tuesday!!

Thanks!! Grin

Hi Sunny

Well, it does sound promising! I'm no expert but I do know a thing or two about home pregnancy tests (DH and I have been TTC for 3yrs so I've peed on a lot of sticks!) and they can be quite unreliable.

I did one two days after an HCG shot (just to see what a BFP looked like - sad, I know!) and with the amount of HCG in my body, I was expecting an instant and very clear BFP but what I got was a sort of half-hearted, "not really sure" line that vanished after 5 mins.

Some women are better than others at processing HCG so it can take much longer than the supposed 2 days after implantation to show up as a BFP.

It's great that you have a blood test lined up though as that is much more accurate.

Love the bit about the dog not wanting to sit next to you! Wink

Good luck Grin

Hi sunny

I am in exactly the same situation as you! You have literally described word for word how I feel!

Only difference is, on Sunday night, I had a bt of a bleed, but was gone again the next day, just some brown spotting (TMI, I know)

I have done 3 -ve tests, and am getting disheartened. Just trying to tell myslef I am making it all up to make me feel better Smile

Good luck at the docs, and let us know how you get on Grin

Thanks I will!

hmmmm maybe yours was implant bleeding? Let me know when you find out! are you the same lateness as me too?! xx

I was 35 when I had the little bleed, but I have only been off the pill since Jan, so not sure whether my body is just taking time to adjust!x

maybebabyR · 03/03/2011 14:03

35 days late that should say! I'm only 26, just added a decade Grin

With my 2 year old, I didn't know I was pregnant until 6 weeks. The hospital did a urine test at 5 weeks because I went in with agonising pains in my lower back and it came back negative. Next week they did it again and it was positive. I later got shingles at 12 weeks the same time as vomiting for over a week I was put on a drip. My symptoms only began at 5 weeks. Spaced out tired, weird feeling, lower back pain, (boobs were not yet sore or swolen) I just thought I'd worn myself out with work and drinking (shame on me I know, it was a rough time!)

Another symptom I found was, you're never properly hungry and you're never properly satisfied after you've eaten.. Yet you want to keep eating.
