I'll try to be brief.
I have one DS (10 mo) I have PCOS so it took about 18 months to concieve him so we've just carried on without contraception post birth and are letting nature take it's course (although I'm hoping it will take the pregnancy course quicker than my DH is)

I am very irregular, periods once every 3 months so when I came on 20th Jan I thought that would be it till April but today I have AF has arrived with massive cramping, clotting vengence.

So, am I having a (normal) 35 day cycle or, could it be a miscarriage? Should I test to see if there are any hormones left or is that just self destructive? BUT if I don't will I always wonder?

Feeling a bit shit and Sad

Yes you should test - I know it'll make you feel crappy if it's positive - but if you then go on to get an infection if the miscarriage is not complete, you'll know what it is and get help quicker.

I had a miscarriage before my first successful pregnancy and then another one before my next successful pregnancy and with both I didn't know I was pregnant.

Sorry you are going through this. :(

Do you have any other symptoms ? sore boobs sicky feeling??

I think you must do a test to be on the safe side - mind you if you only get a period every few months a whiole lot of rubbish could accumulate in your womb.

Also a profuse bleed can be the first sign of a problem within a pregnancy or it can be an ectopic pregnancy or another gynae problem so it's always worth ruling out pregnancy anyway.
