(Tmi) Spotting after ovulation but too soon for implantation

Title says it all really. I detected LR surge on Friday morning. Due to family being round and other commitments only had time to do the deed very late on Saturday night. Sunday noticed some blood when I went to the toilet. Not brown/pink like ovulation bleeding is supposed to be but red like period blood just a lot lighter. Had the same yesterday too on and off.

Tis too early for implantation isn't it?

This doesn't normally happen. What's going on? Early period? Would be VERY unusual for me!

We have been trying a while now and its all starting to get to me tbh

Hi I am going through the same at present I had pink spotting on monday which I think was too early for implantation. I am now thinking that I might be ovulating late. It is all very confusing isn't it. I know exactly how you feel we have been ttc for nearly a year now and it does become abit much at times especially when it comes so easily to others. Fingers crossed that we both get what we want soon. Sorry I havn't answered your original question but didn't want your post to be ignored.

From what ive read the surge indicates ov is to take place 24-36 hours later meaning on sunday it may well have been ovulation. It could also be cervical erosion as you dtd the night before. They say any bleeding inbetween periods or after sex should be checked out. Personally im in the process of going through some fertility tests which started as a result of seeing the gp about bleeding between periods and a few aches and pains. Though I think maybe if I had been charting at the time I may have noticed the times when it happened was at ovulation. Do you chart your temp? Although the rise in temp indicates you have already ovulated it can be a good way to compare it to any symptoms you may have such as bleeding and give you a good idea where you are in your cycle.

I haven't been charting but had been using ovulation tests. The test indicated I was ovulating later than I expected. I am still seeing a little blood but its way too early for my period......

Maybe I should go to the dr.....Just dont want to waste their time if its just something normal.

it would never be a waste of time and I dont think a gp would think so either, hormone fluctuations, stress, medication etc can all cause bleeding inbetween periods so not necessarily anything too sinnister. I always get 'symptoms' that disappear once an appointment is made, I think a lot is psychological due ttc, I think the stress of it can do allsorts to our bodies but as this isnt normal for you I would get it checked out even just for peace of mind. A gp can easily take a swab, just like having a smear. After having mine done I discovered I had thrush, some things you read say it has no impact on ttc and some things say it can create a hostile environment for sperm. Who knows whats true, but at least I could get it treated.
