Pregnacare and Hypothyroidism

Does anyone know if it is safe to take Pregnacare when hypothyroid and on levothyroxine. I'm asking because Pregnacare contains Iodine. I have Hashimoto's hypothyroidism. Does anyone else take Pregnacare who is hypothyroid? thanks for any info! Smile

Just for anyone else in a similar position - have since found out that if you have Hashimoto's hypothyroid you should NOT take a vitamin which contains iodine as it aggravates the antibodies which attack the thyroid in the first place. Sanatogen pre-natal / mum to be does not contain iodine and that is what I am now taking. As I have high thyroid antibodies I am also eating 3 or 4 brazil nuts a day which contain very high amounts of selenium and help to reduce the antibodies Apparently any more than this is toxic. Hope this helps anyone in a similar position as it has taken me a while to get the right answer to this problem Smile
