really worried that my luteal phase isn't long enough. i've tested for ov since day 13 of cycle and it's now only 9 days til my next period, if i'm on time.

my cm is creamy and cervix hard and low, so no signs thus far!

anyone else worried about similar?

Could you have started testing for ov too late? It depends on how long your cycle is, to when you start testing and also if you're regular.

You may well just have a very swift surge?

I got a BFP yesterday. I used OPKs this cycle, testing daily at around 2pm. No line at all on days CDs15 to 19. On CD20 I got a line which was more than faint but def not stronger than control line, so officially still a negative. Then on CD21, another absolute negative.

I recorded the nearly-positive on CD20 as a positive - I was either catching the start of the surge or the end of it. My temps bore out the fact that I must have OVd on or just after CD 20 - see my chart

Are you temping as well - if you are having difficulty finding ovulation, always v good to temp too as it confirms it.

You might need to use OPKs twice a day, eg at lunchtime and at 6pm. If that doesn't work, but you are temping and see a shift which suggests you are ovulating, then maybe you need OPKs which are more sensitive than the standard ones?

As I understand it you can get OPKs of senstivitives of 20, 30 and 40 whatever-the-unit-is. I think 30 is the standard - most women have a little bit of LH all the time so if most women used the 20s they would get OPK+ all the time. However some women have lower levels naturally and even when they "surge" they perhaps don't get up to 30. So those women need to use the 20s rather than the 30s. Have a look on [[http://www.amazon.co.uk/Highly-Sensitive-Ovulation-Fertility-Strips/dp/B001G7P62S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1297862307&sr=8-1
Amazon]] for a range of OPK tests

Best of luck.
