Mermaid Hope you have warmed up a bit since the last post Smile DS eating glass ouch! Shock how hardcore are the cornish Grin
QA So 12 DPO today (are you an early tester?) my pom poms are at the ready!!!
Neeko Hello - lovely to "see" you Smile Not so sure about the strong bit must be giving the wrong impression on here! Smile Ouch for teethmarks! Sorry to hear sleeping hasn't improved, but I bet M looks so cute in her ballet gear
Blue Yey for mountaineering Ben! Ewan does up the stairs but fortunately not tackled down yet also I'm lucky he can't access the stairs due to stair gates (as he can now open doors) so I can still get some small jobs done Smile Our match is Sunday 13th March at Twickenham, bring on the moss munchers Wink Grin
Cupcake Teething is so horrible Sad poor Jude Sad night-time is worse for Ewan too, daytime you can distract them with food I found (follows his Mum!) but night the calpol doesn't seem to touch it when it's bad
4ever Thanks for the update from Monkey so glad she's having such a good time Smile
Louey Injections were awful, the nurse cried!! She doesn't normally do baby clinic and when he screamed the place down she got all upset (personally I wouldn't have thought if you were that sensitive nursing was a good career choice Grin) He was a bit grizzly for the rest of the day but bouncing around now, in fact he's just said his first two words together - "get down" with a scottish accent Hmm Hmm Glad to hear that you have the all clear at the moment, fingers crossed it stays that way for the duration.

I've been mulling things over since Monday and I've decided I'm going to put in a complaint about out appointment, after being kept waiting (which I know is normal for NHS) we were with a different consultant than planned, who spent less than 5 minutes, said Ewan had glue (not even glue ear) didn't explain what it was, questions I asked weren't answered or I then couldn't understand the reply and I thought it's not acceptable. If one of my customers at work received that treatment they would complain and without feedback they won't improve so I'm getting on my soap box and ringing PALs. Phew after that rant I feel much better Smile

littlebellsmum · 23/02/2011 21:45

Hi budha I think you should complain. I had a similar experience with an opthamologist for my DD - all he said was " some one needs new glasses" which we knew anyway, didn't give any more info and just thrust a piece of paper at me. Really worth the time off work etc, never mind trying to explain to the 7yr old, why the man was so rude and why he didn't talk to her!! I didn't complain but wish I had. TBH, i've had really good experiences with every doctor I've had to see with the kids before, this is the one exception and I think he is in the wrong job!

neeko not sure about a hot sheila, more a knackered one burning the candle at both ends!!

loueytb3 · 24/02/2011 09:33

buddha I would complain too - it might not get you anywhere but it will probably make you feel better. Its so annoying when you wait ages for an appointment, expect to see someone who will talk some sense and you get their muppet underling. I know not all junior doctors are like this but I had a crap experience with a junior gynae who told me that all women ovulated on day 14 Hmm and I couldn't possibly be ovulating on day 10. I did lose faith somewhat at that point...Well done E for stringing 2 words together - there will be no stopping him soon!

LBM hope you are surviving half-term!

I've nicknamed this baby Jackie Chan because he just doesn't stop kicking and bloody hard too!!! Ouchy. This week is turning into a very long one..

BuddhaBelly · 24/02/2011 13:27

Jackie Chan lmao Grin

mermaidspurse · 24/02/2011 14:52

newsflash especially for neeko I have seen a NandosGrin
afternoon girls, as you wereSmile

yes it's the sycing up for the appoint. and then it all gets swept passed. We had the junior who looked at ds tongue and said he is fine we looked Hmm he fetched consultant who was lounging reading golf mags who said that's a bad tongue tie. So stick to your gut feeling buddha Hope he is ok btw love the thought of him talking with his accent all in tact.Grin at the poor nurse doing injections.

I am all out of sync myself but am touching base before the thread goes off my active thingy.

I didn't go in Nandos mind, no we went into carluccio's instead. You lot have big shops everywhere I have come home to recoverGrin

louey that name could be either pink or blue really. Glad you are feeliong lots of movement.

bq and your little bprince hope you are both well into the blooming phase.x

cupcakefairy · 24/02/2011 15:59

Afternoon lovelies,
Thanks for all your lovely words about Jude...we've only had that one bad night so far, otherwise he seems to be doing ok with the teeth and no biting my boobies yet. I'm only feeding him first thing now, about 6am but if biting starts, it will be over altogether!! Grin neeko Shock how are you doing it?? I would be scared right off by big gnashers. Seriously had to read twice the bit about H's birthday being 5 weeks away ShockShock I cannot believe that. You're right, it felt like aaaages between her and Dolly last year!

louey also can't believe you have been on the thread a year, where is the time going?!! Feels like you're part of the furniture here now though Grin and qa too. Lol at your kung fu baby! I also adore proof-reading; people are always asking me to check stuff for them Grin we could start a pedants' corner.

buddha bless E with his words! I really can't wait to hear Jude speaking, his voice is just so cute when he babbles it already makes me melt
Well done re complaints- you're totally right that they can't improve without feedback. I'm a big believer in the well-worded complaint Grin though it is soooo annoying when you get a rubbish response like louey did, after you've thought it through so much. Really hope you get a good response.

mermaid Grin have you recovered from the big shops? I spent most of yesterday in John Lewis with my mum and a personal shopper getting her wedding outfit (the personal shopper was a total Gok, brilliant.)...that is one biiiig shop. Needed hiking boots to go and change the baby it was so far away.

moon big hug to you lady. When do you hear results?

Thanks for the update on monkey, 4ever...so glad she's having a lovely time.

I had my first ever smear test yesterday ...I couldn't believe how quickly it was over...had been dreading it all these years but compared to a sweep it was like a little tickle in the vajayjay GrinGrin

Morning cupcake! Grin Just having my morning lurk, not been able to post, as you know my poor sausage was horrendously sick on tues, worst largest amount ever, poor baba caught the bug from daddy and is still suffering with the runs.. Confused Have been a real anxious wreck but bless her she is still in her usual great spirits, even though she is also teething, cutting 4 top teeth! [shocked] 2 are just poking through, the other 2 are nearly.. Shes letting out the occasional cry with obvious bits of sharp pain but not much more, brave girl, I however am a nervous wreck, DH still got the runs too so have just been a weebling ball of worry and not doing myself any favours, i have been a so busy as well so just longing for a healthy household and DH back firing on all cylinders and not so busy so i can collapse for a bit! Need to dig out that cotton wool wrap dress from when i was pregnant! Confused

mermaidspurse · 25/02/2011 13:09

4ever make sure you stay nice and healthy lovely.
poor dh and summer.

cupcake that all sounds fab hope you have a good weekend.

QuestionableAntics · 25/02/2011 17:06

Hi Smile

Sorry for lack of personals, but havn't got a lot of time. We have just got back from staying at a friend's house for a couple of days and I am going out tonight with a friend, but I am just weebling Sad and the first place I thought of is you all Smile

Got a faint BFP last night Smile Grin but even fainter this morning Confused Now logic tells me it will be faint, as I looked back to see when I ovulated and I only got a positive OPK two weeks ago today so not as many days past ovulation as I thought? However, wouldn't it be darker this morning? With Ds I had dark lines from the outset but with the last MC I it was faint lines. So am really happy for very brief moments and massively worrying the rest of the time. Really wasn't expecting a positive this month, so should just be grateful to be in this position of being able to worry and and I am mindful that there are others who would love to be in this position of even a faint positive, but can't help feeling worried. Any advice?

Sorry for the quick me post,I hope I haven't missed anything important, but feel like I might burst and there is no one but DH to tell. I'll be back soon, but have to sort DS out.....

mermaidspurse · 25/02/2011 17:26

qa oh mySmile A line is a line. Is it a cheapy stick?
Deep breaths, allow yourself the fizzy yippeeeee feelings when you can and really really really try not to worry - yes I know that is impossible just I think as least stress as possible is good.

Finally a huge big fat and sparkly star and a massive congratulations to both of you.Smile

mermaidspurse · 25/02/2011 17:29

Did you get up in the night though? It is early days, can you tell I went back and read it properly. I always used to go clearblue whenever I had a bfp. Passing over a Brew clink.

QuestionableAntics · 25/02/2011 17:38

Mermaid, that's really kind and you have made me cry. Smile that fizzy feeling is exactly it and I want to be able to feel it

Checked last night and this morning with Morrisons own brand and then just now with a cheapy internet one. All have taken nearly the full 5 mins and still faint. haven't dared crack open the digital one, couldn't face the bloody smug not pregnant message, will try it in the morning though.

Feel free to take me outside and smack me with a wet fish, I am annoying myself.

Not enough time, DS is hungry, am trying to unpack, get ready, make food, freak out ...

VJay · 25/02/2011 17:47

Ooooooh qa tis exciting and Confused at the same time. Use you digi one first thing then straight on here to let us know Grin

Had Ajays appointment today aboout his nuts, bless him. He had the skin prick tests done on his back and was written on then pricked 8 times Shock, but was VERY brave. Ten mins later and all but the positve control test were negative Hmm and Confused, so then he had bloods done. Now if these come back positive then, yes, he does have the allergy, which we already know, but they need confirmation. If it's negative he has to go onto the ward and have a food intolerance test that involves them first touching his lip with peanuts, if no reaction after 1/2 an hour, touching his tongue and so on. I hope the bloods show up positive so he doesn't have to go through this. The consultant says they know he has the allergy but they need to do the tests! Confused.

Wow that was long, a bit like the day we've had today. I only just made Cjays school appointment!

{{{{{ QA }}}}}

loueytb3 · 25/02/2011 18:16

ooh ooh ooooooooh! QA a line is a line. My tests were always fainter in the morning for some reason, and were stronger later on in the morning. And anyway, a faint bfp does not mean anything mc-wise as I had a really strong +ve with my mc and when I used cheapies at home for this pg, they were pretty faint for days.

am soooo excited!!!!

waves to vjay and mermaid

back later

QuestionableAntics · 25/02/2011 19:11

Thank you louey and Vjay feeling a little more reassured, will definitely come back on in the morning, hopefully feeling much more positive. Smile

Big well done to Ajay too Vjay and you, not the easiest thing to see him go through. x

Will hopefully catch up with you all tomorrow, really must go now.

cupcakefairy · 25/02/2011 19:37

Really really quick one from me as dinner on the table but YAY qa!!!! Massive congrats am grinning away for you!
As the girls say, a line is a line is a line and faintness is no indicator of stickyness. Yaaaay! Grin

QA try and get a decent nights sleep - not easy I know. Will be checking on here tomorrow to see if you have done that digi....

vjay What a brave little boy. I hope he doesn't have to do the challenge test either and the blood tests give a clear result. Sounds as though the Dr wasn't fobbing you off though. Still had to read your post twice to work out that you are talking about nuts the food, and not the other type of nuts. Clearly I have a dirty mind....

cupcake sounds as though you have a busy busy weekend. Hope the plans go well and you have a nice time with the ILs. When is the wedding? Love the sound of the personal shopper - sounded like lots of fun.

4ever oh poor poorly summer Sad it sounds as though you have had quite a week. If she is teething too then her nappies might be quite runny because of that too. Hope you have a much better weekend than the last one!

blue hope you have a calmer weekend as I know you've had a rough week too.

mermaid have you been up to the big city Grin. Is there not a Nandos in the whole of cornwall?? Hope you had lots of fun and managed to spend lots of money Grin. When is the appt?

barbie you ok out there?

Waves to everyone else. DH is cooking sausages (his piece de resistance Wink), I am listening to Isaac destroy the bedroom through the monitor and bracing myself to go up and sort out the carnage again. Jackie Chan is happily kicking my bladder. Hopefully I will get a better nights sleep than last night, I seem to have developed pg insomnia Confused.

VJay · 25/02/2011 19:48

Meant to say 4ever you poor weeble hope your lovely dh and Summer are better very soon Smile
