Also do you notice that both boys have their own smell, I can walk into Cjays room and just smell him, and I mean in a lovely way, and I can now regocnise Ajays scent too. I sound like a hound Grin

QuestionableAntics · 19/02/2011 18:24

Hi all, hope you are having a good weekend Smile Had a good night last night, looking forward to a take away and a Wine tonight. Thanks for all your kind words about DS, I am totally biased but he really is a star, very cute too Blush We have been lucky so far, though I know what this means for a 2nd Dc if we are lucky enough to have one. They are usually the opposite Shock

Vjay you made me laugh again. When I went to threads I am on, it shows you as the last post and the first few words of your post, it stops at a particularly unfortunate point 'Here's the list, now I'm off to admire my vajazzled.........' Grin Well done on the oven cleaning, I have got the oven pride sat in the cupboard has been for over a year but just can't be bothered don't have the time!

blue I sniff DS's hair all the time and generally squeeze, kiss, hug and ruffle as much as he lets me. Hope you didn't make too much of a dent in your wine cellar! How big is it? Envy

cupcake Sounds like a rough week, it really is so hard when you are poorly and have a little one to deal with. Ouch for poor Jude too, bleeding from the mouth always looks worse and can be quite frightening until you find where all the blood is coming from. Sorry about your weekend being cancelled too, even though they are good reasons, there is still a part of you that wants to stamp your feet and say it's not fair, or maybe that's just me Grin
Hope this week is better for you Smile BTW, DS has recently turned 4, going on 40 at times and no not a crossword type of girl, think i need another good book to get me engrossed and pass the time until next week.

to LBM

Barbie Nice to 'see' you back. So pleased that the birthday party went well, bet it was a lovely day. Did you have a little 'moment' when you realised that she is now 1 and when you think of how much she has changed over that year Smile Hope you are feeling better now, sounds like a horrendous procedure, glad you mum was there to help out. Lol at you and your coming round ramblings, they must hear some pretty strange stuff Grin How do you feel about the IBS diagnosis? Do you think they are right?

Well, we have had a quiet day today, could definitely have done with something to take my mind off waiting, wish I was less impatient. I could do with some of the other small panters on here obsessing just so I don't feel like such weirdo. Have any of you read the questionable TTC thread, so funny. I have read it and identified with some of it, but luckily not all of it yet Wink

QuestionableAntics · 20/02/2011 19:23

Oooh it's very quiet on here today, have even ventured in to AIBU a couple of times Shock

monkey meant to ask on my last post, how are you feeling now? Have you had any further information from your scan yet and what is the next step in your plan? Smile Hope you are feeling much better now x

Had a funny day with friends today. They have a DD the same age as DS and a newborn DD who was just gorgeous but I did feel very Envy Didn't help that I am feeling hormonal today, don't think this is the month for us, usually feel a bit like this the week before my period Sad Ah well, will head back to AIBU to see if there are any more interesting arguments discussions Smile

BlueMoon1981 · 20/02/2011 21:10

QA i am very guilty of not being around much as a small panter, if i'm honest i dont think i would be of much use to you as even though we now have a plan, i am weebling quite a lot. however i am always a-lurking if you wanted to direct any questions to me, and of course i will help/reassure/advise/obsess where i possibly can :)

first doctors appointment on thursday for day 21 bloods(plus a few for my long cycle lengths!) and some swabs which are apparently like having a smear test. spoke to my 2 bosses last week to tell them i would be needing some time off for appointments and i explained briefly why, and they were so lovely which made me want to cry - thankfully just about regained my composure in time! but helps so much they were good about it.

hope you've all had good weekends, i had my mum and sister here which has been lovely :)

barbie1 · 21/02/2011 07:25

My baby is one!!!!! Shock Grin Smile Sad.....

Happy birthday to my gorgeous Dolly.

Back later once presents are opened and i can see the floor again!

mermaidspurse · 21/02/2011 09:07

Smile happy birthday dolly Smile

qa and moon sparkly stars all round.

BuddhaBelly · 21/02/2011 10:05

Happy Birthday dolly hope you thoroughly enjoyed your first big birthday party Smile
Barbie Grin at your uncouthness Shock at the whole procedure Hmm at IBS? I have IBS and although I get some pain it doesn't seem to be as bad as what you've been getting? Just keep an eye on it and don't just settle for first diagnosis if it continues. Grin for ttc too (brave girl!)
Blue Hope you are enjoying half term?
QA You can obsess here as much as you like, we all did I promise! What dpo are you now?
Moon Nice to see you weebling in Smile sounds as if things are really moving forward with tests etc. So glad work are being supportive, it really helps.
*Cupcake) Poor Jude Sad give him an extra cuddle from me. These accidents all happen so quickly, I remember Ewan falling off his changing table in 0.0001 seconds! It is so scary especially when they bleed Sad
Vjay I

4everhopeful · 21/02/2011 11:56

Happy 1st birthday to the delicious Dolly! Have a fabby day! Grin Wow our graduates are turning 1! Shock Tea and sympathy to mummy after the yukky op and ibs diagnosis.. But yay to ttc again, i guess that does mean me and you have a bumcheek on both benches then! Grin

Ah Buddha poor lil Ewan maybe having to have an op Sad course you will be worried however routine it is, hes your baba, fingers crossed it will clear itself..

Also massive tummy tickles and hair strokes to young Jude poor lil sausage, how awful for you Cupcake bet you were in pieces.. Hope the horrid tonsilitus is clearing up too? Sorry to hear it ruined your weekend, boo...

Big waves to the lovely Mermaid and Vjay, echo the sparkly stars and babydust to Moon and QA, also huge yay to Issacs placement Louey

Again apologies to those i missed, im on pho & have to get ready as MIL round in a bit to look after Summer as im going hairdressers, need some chill time after bit of a disastrous weekend... Confused Was DHs birthday on Fri, we did his pressies in the afternoon & was lovely, then planned to go out to eat after hed done his last lates at work, but was coming up 8pm & late for Summer who was being a bit of a grizzog, we felt awful dragging her out & when we got to the restaurant it was packed with friday night revellers so we decided to leave it & order a chinese, we got home, ordered it at 8.45, by 10pm it still hadnt turned up & they didnt answer the phone Shock we were so ravenous that we ended up making beans on toast for DH birthday dinner instead! Sad Felt so sorry for him, & get this, the chinese turned up at 11pm! Shock Obviously we turned them away with a few choice words! Then on saturday DH had a bug, was sick, shivery and weak & stayed in bed all day while i juggled lookin after Summer, housework & cooking a huge casserole to freeze for Summer, as well as our dinners, all stuff we normally do together at the weekend, on top of that my AF finally turned up 2wks late & UGH! Im frazzled!

VJay · 21/02/2011 12:06

Happy Birthday DOLLY GrinGrin, wow that year has gone fast!!!

4ever poor you and dh, what a crappy weekend Sad, and boo to af too. Will you and barbie put yourselves onto the ttc bench again, it's exciting to see SmileSmile

buddha whether it's an easy operation or not it's still bloody scary when it's your child. When Cjay was just under 2 he had to have a general to have a small lump on his wrist removed, it was easy for them to do but still scary for us. We'll help you though it Smile, talk about it whenever you feel the need Smile

It's cold up here today think I'll pop the heating on ...

BuddhaBelly · 21/02/2011 12:50

4ever Poor DH, what a crap weekend for him Sad I'm sure you can make up for it in about 14-19 days Wink Grin Wink
Vjay I've just been debating the heating too Smile but have decided as we're going out shortly for Ewan's injections (poor lil man hospital this morning and doctors this afternoon) and then to a friends for tea we'll put an extra layer on now instead Grin Hope it warms up for you shortly, thanks for the offer to talk too. I remember when my god-daughter had grommits put in when she was 5 I was so matter of fact about it (childless at the time) I feel awful now I know how it is to be a Mum Blush

cupcakefairy · 21/02/2011 12:56

Happy birthday Dolly!!! I can't believe a whole year has gone by ShockShock hope she's having a lovely day and being spoilt rotten I'm sure Grin

buddha poor E :( hope you're ok; it is horrible to think of little ones going through anything medical so hand holds for you.

qa oooh a good book sounds like the way forward, anything in mind? We should totally start our Emmsy book club! I'm currently reading something a little depressing called Alone in berlin Confused

moon massive hugs and hand holds for you with all the tests coming up, but big yay and sigh of relief that it's getting underway. Chin up. Almost cried reading about you talking to your bosses, so glad they were understanding. Well done!

4ever bless your dh with his beans-on-toast birthday! Sure it was still special with his lovely girls though :) yeah I was shaking after Jude fell, phoned dh at work who was his usual relaxed self and barely batted an eyelid Hmm

Got Jude weighed this morning- 20lbs 5oz! Chunkster. He has 3 teeth coming through, ouchy!

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 21/02/2011 13:35

buddha bigBrew for you. ds had a general at 4 for his tongue tie and it is hard, far harder for us than them iykwim. Poor e he is going through the wars and it must have been hard to adjust to them wanting to do it now as well.
So a massive big hug for the brave little e after his injections.x

4ever I can only imagine that your lovely dh didn't mind baked beans too much as this is his first birthday with that little wobbly legged girlSmile Hate it when plans go pearshaped though.

cold down here too and very watery. I have just got back from celebrating our ten year anniversary. Was very lovely. Funnily enough 4ever I gave dh a labeless can of beans as it was our tin. ok I ran out of time and forgot to do anything elseSmile

qa you made me smile with me not having lost my sense of humour, it is getting very warped tho!
It is hard when you see the same sort of age gap isn't it? I am sorry that you think it's a miss this month too but it's not over until - you now the rest, have the t-shirts etc.
I have got mouse hand, freezing. Has lbm gone on her loely holiday yet?
cupcake poor jude, it does all happen so quickly. I remember when ds took a sip out of a glass glass and bit a chunk out of itShockme and dh were running around like mad things. That is meant to make you feel betterGrin

Have to go, too cold.

QuestionableAntics · 21/02/2011 20:16

moon Thank you Smile don't worry about the weebling though, I am doing plenty of that myself at the moment. Great that your bosses were so supportive of you, makes life a lot easier. Good luck for Thursday, will be thinking of you.

Barbie Happy Birthday for your lovely DD. Hope you have all had a fab day, though sure you have. Let the mountain of toys begin, now you can spend the next few years like me trying to not let the house be taken over by toys galore. Make sure you and DH take some time this eve to reflect on the last year Smile Smile

mermaid Happy 10 year Anniversary, hope you had a nice time. 10 years is definitely worth celebrating. Nothing wrong with a warped sense of humour, I love it, especially mixed with a good dollop of sarcasm Grin Didn't have you down as a sparkly stars kind of gal Grin but will accept them wholeheartedly SmileI know your right that's its not over til the fat lady sings, not sure why i am so sure iyswim, just feel it this time. Those cheap pregnancy tests are perfect for an impatient 2WWer like me! Weren't you hoping to get an appointment at the Docs this week?

Buddha Poor you, the worry about Dc is never ending and it doesn't matter what they have to go through you just wish you could go through it for them and any op no matter how 'routine' is not routine for you and E. Lets just keep everything crossed that the next 6 month sorts it and he won't need it Hugs to you. I think I am 10 DPO today Confused

4ever Sorry your Dh's birthday didn't go planned, i am sure he didn't mind, at least you were all together, that;s the best brithday present he could have, though being ill the next day was a present he could do without! Perhaps you and Barbie should be on the ttc 'pants on top of your tights bench' Grin Or was it just me that my mum made me wear pants on top of my tights when i was little to help them stay up? Grin

vjay it has been freezing today, i have felt cold all day, just sat in front of the extra heater with a blanket on to try and warm up. I fancy one of those heated slipper things that old people have.

cupcake 3 teeth coming through Shock I hope it doesn't cause too much bother or lack of sleep for you. He is obviously thriving, loved the chunkster name, though he won't thank you for it if it sticks Grin Alone in Berlin even sounds depressing, might have to go off and look it up though. Is it any good?

Right, going to go and get sorted so that I am all ready for one born every minute, will get the tissues handy...

littlebellsmum · 21/02/2011 20:56

Happy birthday to the lovely dolly - I love the pictures on facebook, *barbie but I can't believe there is that much grass in the desert? Do you spend your life watering it?

Neeko · 22/02/2011 09:07

Happy belated birthday to Dolly. So sorry I missed it. Hope the original superbaby had a fantastic time.

Off to try to catch up. Back soon.

Neeko · 22/02/2011 09:21

Had just about caught up by skim reading through the thread and now H is awake! Timing impeccable as usual. Hope to be back later but wanted to say quickly that I'm very excited for Barbie and 4ever TTC again. The witch hasn't been seen here since a year past in June Shock so I couldn't even if I wanted to, which I don't! Grin

VJay · 22/02/2011 09:34

Hiya neeks good to see you Smile

I'm off to the shops now, laters xx

bluesatinsash · 22/02/2011 10:58

Morning All!

DS1 at pre-school, DS2 napping, Brew in hand - lovely Smile.

barbie - welcome to Dolly's second year! The photos were adorable, loved her pink tutu!! Her and Barnabay are sooo cute together Smile

QA - feel for you and the 'coincidence-what if? babies... Its only natural to compare and wonder what your lo would have looked like/be up to.. BUT this new lo will give you new memories and lovely ones at that! fingers tghtly crossed and shed load of babydust your way x

moon - hope your tests go Ok this week x

mermaid - I meant to say several posts ago Blush re: perimenopausal... Read somewhere that a good gauge is the age your Mum went though it Confused? My (childless) Auntie went through it at 36 Shock.

neeko - helloooo!! Its a busy old life part=time working and bringing up two adorable weans isn't it Wink.

Vjay - oooh, what did you get at the sops anything tasty??

cupcake - poor you and poor Jude, wee lamb. It is worse for us as it happened on 'our watch'. Benhas started cilmbing and descending the stairs and you have to be behind him the whole time. Not more drying the dishes whilst he plays in living room. I need a Ben-Cam Grin

Buddha - Sad about Ewan's operation... I'm sure talking to the surgeon and consultants in the lead up (if he does need it) will reassure you but big hand squeeze in the meantime. When do Scotland play England and is it up here?

4ever - ahh the best laid plans! Your Dh would have been delighted just to spend the day with his gorgeous girls. Sooo, ttc again Smile you and barbie can synchronise your watches and cycles Smile.

Louey - how are you this week? Note to readers Isaac is spelt with one 's' and two 'a's' . Thank you, as you were

LBM - yes when do you go to Oz?

eeek! time's up, need to go and utilise my free time before the Prince wakes up.

Bientot tout le monde xx

cupcakefairy · 22/02/2011 11:20

Morning ladies :)
Lol blue at you correcting the spelling; bet you get that all the time. I'm always having to spell out my name and surname...most frustrating.

mermaid Shock at your ds eating glass! Happy 10 years too :) we went to a 10-year anniversary party and at the end they gave everyone a labeless tin to take home Grin Thankfully we didn't end up with dog food Wink

qa I've only just started the book really, but one of the wuotes on the back tells me that reading it is like having "a wise sombre ghost follow you and whisper in your ear 'this is how the war was'" Hmm sounds ominous!!
Poor Jude spent an hour and a half screaming on and off during the night and chewing his fingers but settled after some calpol. Felt so sorry for him :(

Anyone see OBEM last night? That older couple were so sweet!

OK 2nd attempt today. Where to start?Confused

Barbie Glad the test at the hospital went ok and you finally have a diagnosis. I've heard drinking Aloe Vera juice can help. Might be worth a try? Glad the birthday girl had a great time. Must be one of the longest 1st b'day parties ever SmileIt's only 5 weeks until H's, yet last year it felt like months and months between their births Hmm

LBM Well done on the weight loss. I'm seriously impressed. you'll be one hot sheila come your trip to oz.

Buddha Sorry to hear about the glue ear and crossing everything about it sorting itself out. You're strong and will cope come what may.

Monkey hope things are well with you lovely and last week hasn't made you wobble too much. You WILL have your dream. I just know it.

Mermaid Happy 10th anniversary and lol at the tin of beans. Hope your DH did better than you. Well done to your DS with all that running. People laugh when I run Blush

Cupcake poor Jude. the teething is awful. Hope they come in soon. How long now until you're bridesmaid? I was bridesmaid for my BF 3 years ago and loved it.

4ever Glad things are going well for you and clever Summer with the standing. H's cruising everywhere but hasn't quite got her balance yet, thank goodness Smile Hope your DH is better. It's hard work on your own.

Blue Hello lovely. you always sound so upbeat on here. I'm seriously exhausted so I can't imagine how I'd manage to work ft as well. Hope your gorgeous boys aren't keeping you on your toes too much. I've noticed a huge change in M recently. think she's getting ready for school Sad Is I the same?

Louey Hope you're getting plenty of kicks and reassuring rumbles now. Fantastic news about the place for Isaac You must be so relieved.

QA Have everything crossed for you since it's not all over yet. Your boy sounds brilliant Smile

Vjay Hi smiley lady. Are your boys behaving? Hope the weightloss is still going well. i'm officially back on the diet wagon now that all the work mayhem is over. I'm thinking of all the summer clothes I have that don't fit.Hmm

MLS Hey you. Another one who's fading away. 9 weeks and counting. Can't wait to see you again Smile

Curly Hope beng back at work is going ok.

BQ I'm sure you're blooming now. Hope you're feeling better.

Moon Pom poms at the ready. We're ready whenever the plan is. Big hug.

Things been manic here. Sleep is still not particularly great and I'm still feeding although i'd love to be stopping as I have permanent teeth marks in my nipples (sorry TMI) Still won't be long until she can have doorstep milk and I'll feel more able to force the issue.
M started ballet and tap class last Saturday and has the cutest outfit and shoes ever. Cost a fortune so H will be dancing whether she wants to or not! Grin

Phew. Love to everyone I've missed. Take care all.

loueytb3 · 22/02/2011 16:01

Hello all, its been busy on here Smile

I meant to get on yesterday and post my happy birthday wishes to Dolly - apologies to barbie that I didn't manage to in the end. The pics of her party were just gorgeous. I'm not surprised you were exhausted by the end of it. It would have been tiring without all the other stuff that you had going on last week. I'm glad they didn't find anything more sinister and yay for the weight loss as a bonus side-effect of it all. My sister has IBS and I think generally you can control it with diet and trying to keep stress-free. In her case, stress massively exacerbates it.

neeko I'm sorry you are still struggling with sleep and ouch ouch ouch to the teeth marks. Brave lady carrying on feeding with that going on. I can't believe she is 1 in a few weeks too - she was the first baby born after I joined the thread Shock. Bless M in her ballet outfit - we want to see pics please Grin

monkey am seriously Envy about the dolphins - your DS must be in heaven. Hope you are having a whale of a time

mermaid Glad you have had a lovely 10 yr anniversary with MrMermaid. At least you knew that 10 yrs = tin. I am seriously rubbish at that stuff and DH is even worse. Hope you've warmed up - its been pretty cold here too.

4ever poor DH. Rubbish when you have a nice evening planned and it all goes tits up. Hope he is feeling better now. He needs to be like the queen and have another birthday to make up for it Grin.

blue my fellow pedant Grin you beat me to it. I'm a dreadful bore about spelling and people get me to proof read things at word cos I have a weird gift for picking out typos. I am still a bit Angry that the response to my letter of complaint to speech therapy spelt my first name wrong. LOL at Ben-cam. I bet you can't sit down for a second.

cupcake oh poor Jude - I know how terrifying it can be when they hurt themselves. And I'm sorry you weekend got postponed. It sounds as though you could do with a weekend off to recuperate. Is J a good teether - 3 teeth at once sounds ouchy to me.
I'm only on episode 2 of OBEM so I haven't seen that one yet. Saving them up. I've just started watching gypsy weddings on 4OD and can now see what all the fuss was about. The first episode had a girl in it who visited a florist in our high street and I recognised the road in which she lived Shock

QA am hoping that you are wrong about this cycle. Hormones play weird tricks on you. I know before I found out I was pg with DTs I was utterly convinced it hadn't worked. Was in floods of tears about 3 days before I got a bfp. Equally I've been convinced I've been pg only to get a bfn. Have you tested with any internet cheapies or is it still early???

buddha oh love, even if its a very simple operation, its still very scary to us mums. It may clear up as they say - glue ear does tend to be worse in winter because of all the colds. If it hasn't by the summer then I think having grommets put in is the right thing to do. We are going to have to make a decision soonish about Isaac having an op on his eye (he has a birth mark on it) and I am dreading it. How did the injections go?

vjay Look at you with your vajazzled racks Grin Are you going to vajazzle anything else I still sniff their hair too and I am really looking forward to sniffing that newborn milky smell as my two don't smell like babies anymore Sad

moon I'm so glad your bosses were understanding, that does make such a difference. Good luck for your appt on Thursday - we're all here for you and just think of it of a step towards getting your baby.

Oh and I'm super excited about our new small panters 4ever and barbie Grin

Like neeko I am seriously knackered. My nights currently go something like this - 1am either small child comes in wanting the toilet, or I need the toilet. Get back into bed, baby wakes up and starts kicking me like mad. After about 1 hr of tossing and turning, go back to sleep until approx 3.30 am when the same thing happens again. I tell you, I'm incubating a bloody kung fu artist!!! Love feeling the kicks but NOT in the middle of the night.

My urine infection has gone but when I phoned the GP yesterday for the test results, they didn't find anything. So who knows what is going on Confused. Anyway, after the slight panic last week that PE might be starting again, I did get into the loft at the weekend and bring down a load of the baby stuff we had up there. So much stuff - we had 2x of most things and then some!! Its now all shoved into the baby's room until I can sort it out. I need my sister to get pg so that I can offload a lot of it to her once we've finished with it.

Right, must go and do some work. I'm not exactly productive at the moment...

loueytb3 · 23/02/2011 13:52
