VJayJay · 04/04/2011 19:23

Oh wow monkey I am so excited for you. Here's my hand for the next 2 weeks, I'm bedding down in the greenhouse with you now Smile

BlueMoon1981 · 04/04/2011 19:25

Just to let you know that the doctors went well, all results to my blood tests, scans, swabs came back 'normal' (with a low normal progesterone level?). I thought I'd be a bit happier than this Confused have to wait for dfs semen analysis and if all is well then we will be referred to a fertility clinic.

Welcome back mls nice to see you

VJayJay · 04/04/2011 19:53

Hi moon glad all your results are normal, but I understand your Confused. If they had found 'something' then there would be a reason and it could be treated. Here's a {{{hug}}} for you too Smile. At least you're getting referred to the fertility clinic anyway, so you ARE moving forward. Onwards and upwards my lovely Smile

monkeybumsmum · 04/04/2011 20:02

Moon I was thinking of you this morning while I was at waiting to go in Smile Glad everything came back as being normal, and that's great you'll be referred if necessary. Do you know whether you'll have to wait long til you can be seen? When do you get the 'swimmer' analysis back? It's really good that things are now moving for you. I find all this fertility treatment quite surreal actually - I always thought it happened to other people. It's difficult to get your head around sometimes... Lots of love and good luck for your df's results x

Thanks VJay Smile Am trying hard not to get excited, and keep reminding myself that there's only a 15-20% success rate with IUI. It probably won't work, but then at least we'll have tried it Smile

MummysLittleSunbeams · 04/04/2011 20:02

Moon it's good that everything is 'normal'. Ahem (dusts off & dons white coat) how many days are there between ov & the first day of your period? If your progesterone is low then there might not be enough days to support a growing fetus - I used to take vit B12 which can help with this. I also used to take cyclogest (progesterone pessaries) which were prescribed by the epu.

Monkey 'take the top off' lol - brings to mind a bottle of full cream milk! Funny you should mention a last feed as I did that this morning. Although I finished bf'ing a week ago, I squeezed my boob this morning (!) & milk shot out so I thought another little feed wouldn't hurt. My treatment is three strong antibiotics which are the same drugs used to treat tb, I'll be on them for two years. Wow just seen you are having IUI, the bestest of luck, the tightest of hand-holds & the sparkliest of baby dust coming your way lovely lady.

Louey I too had a friend who had a tiny bump with both her babes & they both ended up being 9lb-ers. I'm now a small size 14 as opposed to a 14-16 so I think there are a few more pounds left to lose before I fade away! How many cycles has your sis had now?

Vjay sorry to be thick, was it a lump in your cervix you had checked out?

Off to eat Bannoffe pie & watch Enders.

MummysLittleSunbeams · 04/04/2011 20:04

Monkey (leaves bannoffe pie untouched for now) remind me - have you tried acupuncture?

I know I'm still going on about it!! Smile

VJayJay · 04/04/2011 20:25

mls yes it was a lump on my cervix, but won't know anything for a while. I had a smear done and if that's fine she'll just check it again at the next check up at the end of June.

monkey I am only going to think positive thoughts for you Smile

I've just sent Cjay to bed, told him to creep quietly into his room as Ajay is asleep, then went on to hear Ajay squeal with delight at his big bro and he's now babbling away to him HmmGrin

MummysLittleSunbeams · 04/04/2011 20:39

Vjay you couldn't possibly be cross at such cuteness! Smile

monkeybumsmum · 04/04/2011 20:45

That is so cute Vjay, doesn't it make your heart burst when you hear them doing things like that! Sooo sweet!

MLS 2 years Shock My goodness me! Do they have side effects? I hope not...
Thanks for the hand-holding, think I need it!!!!! I did have acupuncture, and think it's wonderful, but I can't find one near me that I can get to. There's one in Brussels, but by the time I leave work I need to leg it out to where ds's school is to collect him which leaves no time to have an appointment Sad
Hope you're enjoying your banoffee pie, it's one of my favourites Smile
ps I managed to miss 'Enders - what happened?

BlueMoon1981 · 04/04/2011 21:13

Thanks everyone for your lovely words of support, it means so much to have you all behind me :) I am very conscious I have been wrapped up in myself recently and I apologise for my lack of posting and not responding to people. I wouldnt have got through some miserable times without you all.

mls I have about 16-20 days between ovulating and af arriving, my cycle is longer than 28 days more like 30-34. The doctor said it was nothing to be concerned about to have a low normal progesterone levels because everything else was ok, but am open to suggestions.

monkey dfs original appointment got cancelled so goes next week and it will be a couple of weeks after that to get the results. Assuming they are ok then we will get referral to the fertility clinic. I have my fingers firmly crossed for you :)

vjay I used to do the same with my younger sister, we used to talk for hours, you have loads more of this to come! Wink

Brew and Wine all round Grin

loueytb3 · 05/04/2011 10:29

moon very very glad to hear all the results were fine, and I'm sure DF's will be too given that you managed to get PG before. After the fertility clinic have done some basic tests they will probably put you on clomid - seems to be the default (cheap) option and if so one of the side-effects of it is to boost your progesterone levels. I think you can take agnus castus (herbal remedy) to try and boost it naturally.

monkey eeeeek!! Lots of things crossed for you. IUI is more successful than doing things au naturel so you've increased your chances whatever happens. BTW I'm not sure I've ever said but DTs are the result of clomid, there is a 1/10 chance of having twins if you take it Grin

MLS you, mentioning acupuncture, never!!!!!!! BTW DSis is having it too, she's sure its helping her stress levels. Her periods restarted after she started the acu and she puts it down to that. She's on her 2nd cycle but her results are much better than last time round (her FSH was much lower to begin with which apparently is a good sign). She would love twins!

vjayjay oh how cute!!!! I am training Luke to tell Isaac to go back to bed. It worked last night....

barbie how are the (.)(.) today??

Scan is late afternoon. Am trying not too worry (and failing miserably) but this is exactly what happened with the boys. Its the fact that it hasn't really grown that is most worrying. I asked the Dr about whether the position the baby was lying in could affect how big you are measuring and she said not at this stage. She also checked the 20wk scan results and it was smack on the 50th centile then so she said it wasn't small to begin with. I'm glad I haven't got to wait long though at least I will know what is going on.

barbie1 · 05/04/2011 11:18

louey just rushing in to say im here all day for you, please don't worry Smile you probably feel and are a lot small cos there is only one baby in there this time! Maybe you are having a petite little girl like dolly? Fingers, toes, arms and legs crossed....

MummysLittleSunbeams · 05/04/2011 15:31

Louey sending positive vibes. Pregnancy after mc is always such a flippin' head*k.

cupcakefairy · 05/04/2011 15:39

OP posts:
VJayJay · 05/04/2011 16:49

Thinking of you louey, hope everything is OK Smile

loueytb3 · 05/04/2011 17:29

I'm back - all is well. The little bugger baby is measuring spot on and fluid levels are ok too. It is breech, but I knew that and it doesn't really matter as I'm probably going to have an ELCS anyway. Big phew! What are the chances of getting through the rest of this pg without another scare.

Went to the supermarket afterwards and came out with doughnuts, cheesecake, chocolate biscuits and pizza....all this worrying has made me very hungry!

VJayJay · 05/04/2011 17:44

That's brilliant news lousy.
I'm on way round to join your yummy feast x

VJayJay · 05/04/2011 17:45

Sorry louey not lousy I don't know who she is!

loueytb3 · 05/04/2011 18:02

I don't know, I've been a pretty lousy poster recently. You would be well within your rights to call me that Grin You'd better be quick if you want some food, I've eaten both the doughnuts already Blush

MummysLittleSunbeams · 05/04/2011 21:37

Woaah there Louey you're gonna give yourself gestational diabetes! All I can say is pheeeeeeee-eeeew! How long have you got to go now? Any chance you can get yourself a cuppa, a doughnut, wrap yourself in a slanket & stay there until it's time to push??

Vjay I was reading the thread a few pages back - please get drunk again!! Grin Wine

SabsFabulous · 05/04/2011 22:04

louey good to hear everything is OK. Must be such a relief for you.

Hope everyone else is well.

loueytb3 · 05/04/2011 22:20

just realised BQ that I didn't mention you in my catch-up post - hope you are ok and just busy and tired.

barbie1 · 06/04/2011 06:41

Geez vjay you gave me a bloody scare! Last night i went to bed real early to try to rest (and not think of my aching boobies) but i couldn't sleep until i heard from louey so i keep logging on the my phone...all i could see was the start of the last post from you saying 'sorry louey*

I thought it was bad news Sad so had to calm myself and wait for the page to load....
