Poor Dolly - I'm not surprised she has been waking up so often! Its really hard isn't it when you are used to having a decent nights sleep and then it all goes backwards. I am a bit worried about how I'm going to cope with potentially 2 or 3 children up in the night . We have one or both up almost every night at the moment and its really hard going. DH just sleeps through it Confused. Last time round at least I could go back to bed for part of the day. This time I will have nursery/childminder/school runs to deal with. Eeeek.

barbie1 · 07/03/2011 16:24

I dont know how you do it, i really dont! You will just have to place the new baby on dh side of the room, then hopefully there will be no chance he will sleep through Wink
I wish i could go back to bed but her naps are still only 45 mins, twice a day, 3 if im lucky and for most of that im walking her to sleep in her pram Confused but it will all be ok, not complaining...just hoping for a better night tonight!

loueytb3 · 07/03/2011 17:33

I've told DH he needs to go to the Drs to get his ears syringed. He said he will, when the baby is sleeping through the night....MEN!

Hope you have a better night tonight.

4everhopeful · 07/03/2011 17:34

Hi ladies flying in quickly, thanks so much fo the birthday greetings, had the best birthday ever as I already have all I could wish for with my little princess, such a blessing! Brighton was fantastic and our first night away with Summer was great, the hotel suite was so lovely with panaramic views of the sea and a jacuzzi so we all had a family bath which was fun! Grin I got properly spoilt, I feel very lucky indeed.. Spent the saturday mooching around the lanes and spent a small fortune in Baby gap on the cutest bits for Summer inc a floral 80's style jumpsuit www.gap.eu/browse/product.do?cid=57137&vid=1&pid=806611

Anyway, just want to extend hugs to poor wee Ajay, and also Dolly, bless the poorly babbas...

Also didnt Moon have her scan today? Fingers crossed all is well?

Finally OBEM tonight has a lady that had 4 MC so you may wanna tune in...

Sorry to not do proper personals, Im sitting at my dressing table after a bath and Summer has come and stood up and started sucking on my boobys poor sausage!

loueytb3 · 07/03/2011 18:23

Just popped back on because I realised it was moon's scan today and saw 4ever had had the same thought. Hope it went ok moon update when you can.

4ever sounds like it was a wonderful weekend Smile Have got OBEM on record so will save it up for a night when DH is out. I always end up in tears!

mermaidspurse · 08/03/2011 07:57

moon so hope it went as ok as possible.

cupcakefairy · 08/03/2011 11:29

Hi ladies...sorry for the slight absence been a manic few days! In answer to your question blue, hen party was Sat just gone and everything went really well...all the hard work and military style oprganisation paid off cos everything went off without a hitch and perfectly to schedule Wink
My sis laughed and cried all day so think it was successful!! We had a vid of her hubby to be at one point that had us all blubbing bless him :)
Wedding is 4 weeks on Saturday...eeek! So excited!

moon really hope yesterday went ok, loads of hugs to you and well done for taking another step closer to your baby.

4ever My life, OBEM had me really sobbing last night (as always!! But even more so...) that couple who had the mcs put it so well didn't they, the way they talked about it. Her saying at the end 'You never forget' really got me. Thought of you lots. So glad your birthday was so lovely and that romper is to DIE FOR!! Think I could get away with dressing Jude in it? Grin

Vjay ShockShock poor little Ajay. He hasn't half given you some scares in his short life has he. Glad to hear he's back to his cheeky self now.

Neeko are you and MLS meeting up again soon then? Hope you have a lovely time :)

louey yay for baby purchase! Ha, men are so annoying, dh sleeps through Jude waking then in the morning he's like 'He slept well last night didn't he' and I'm like Hmm 'No, I was up 3 times with him...' Grin at Isaac switching the shower on when fully dressed- nightmare!
I'm sure you'll do just fine with 3; it will become normality very quickly and you'll forget what it was like with just the DTs!

barbie sorry Dolly is waking again, and for all the worries re her weight. Jude had slept through for a good 3 or 4 weeks and now we have teething...lots of screaming and waking 3 times a night again you're right it's even harder once you've got used to sleeping 8 hours! Well done for leaving her at nursery. I still don't think I could do it with Jude Confused

qa how are you feeling? Head in the sand? Thinking of you lots x

and bq where have you disappeared to? Come and update us! What is your actual due date, I don't think you ever made it onto the big pants list...

lbm wow you do sound busy...bring on your hols hey?? How was your night out?

mermaid bless your ds! Massive well done to him finishing the race, bet you were proud as punch.

Right...better go...swimming again today. Might just finish off the cakes from the hen party first though Wink

Hi all still here work been really hectic so not had chance to post or even lurk things seem to be going ok just still feeling very weebly about things still edd is 11th June so guess im officially in big pants.
Love to you all will try and do a catch up when I get some free time

4everhopeful · 08/03/2011 13:10

BQ ah bless you weebling, my edd with summer was 4th june, you must be truly blooming now! Grin

Cupcake so glad the hen went to plan, bless the vid of her DH to be, what a great idea... I welled up again just reading your post about OBEM, DH and i were both in tears, think it was good for him to hear another man thats gone through it and talking about trying to be strong and having quiet cries at work and other times, my DDDDDH told me he had quite a few himself, Sad I was always very conscious that there is sooo much more support for mum than dad, bless my wonderful DH, he kept saying "it's us isnt it?" So true, and I say it often, we will never forget, my 1st would be 3 in April... Thank god every day for Summer...

Incidentally, talking of all that we got our results back on thursday night, we will need a booster treatment in a future pregnancy, obviously would of been great to not need it, but glad we know so can hopefully prevent the heartache of another mc. The consultant did suggest we did it immediately which would then give the same 3 month window to conceive as before, last time it put us under so much pressure, and didnt happen, so then we had the booster when i was 4wks pregnant with Summer instead.
We have decided having the booster when im actually pregnant again is the preferable option as we dont want to go back to the manic clinical operation of ttc, its been lovely being relaxed and thinking "when it happens it happens", also we are lucky to find the time to DTD nowadays! Shock It will be a bit tense, as can only have the booster up to 6wks pregnant, so also in my new found relaxed approach (and new found 34 day cycles Hmm) Iv not tested till im a few days late (as opposed to day 22!) so will have to make sure i test early so we have enough time to arrange it all.. Confused

Wow i only lurked to see if there was news from Moon! Waffle waffle waffle! Blush

BlueMoon1981 · 08/03/2011 19:15

Hi girls, thanks for thinking of me, it was a very straightforward procedure, scan of the abdomen and of the pelvic area, lovely staff made it easier. I had a huge wobble just before going in though, the whole 'last time I had a scan my baby had died' kind of thing, and I thought I was going to be sick and pass out from the heat of those places! I am v worried though, the lady spent an awful long time on my right hand side... I wont know the results for a while yet, we are doing the head in sand routine until all the tests are done and df has done his sample, and we'll get the results altogether, so only one psyching up session to do!

Sorry for not getting on here yesterday, and sorry for no personals (as usual....)

Hugs to everyone :)

cupcakefairy · 08/03/2011 19:37

Oh bless you moon...totally understand the wobble. The memories of scan rooms will probably always make us all wobble. Good plan with the head-in-sand and zen-like attitude but keep positive. You must keep reminding yourself you have been pregnant twice before, and within a relatively short space of time. All the bits work Wink we just need a sticky little bean. I don't know why it hasn't happened again yet but I know it CAN and WILL.
Even watching that couple on OBEM last night it just amazed me again that 4 little angels can die, and then a next pregnancy can go to term when they didn't have any diagnosis/treatments...sometimes mc just happens, and there is no reason why the next pregnancy wouldn't go to term. Massive hug and hairstroke anyway. xxx

4ever Bit of a shame you need another booster in your next preg but like you say, good to know. Loving your relaxed approach to ttc too...must make such a change from last year!!

Waiting for dh to get home for pancakes... Hmm

OP posts:
Neeko · 08/03/2011 20:57

Hello all Smile

Moon I'm sure the woman was just being thorough which is a good thing. It's just that we're used to bad news in a scan room Sad and expect it to be so. I've crossing fingers and toes for you.

Cupcake Hope you're stuffing your face enjoying pancakes as I type. Sorry to hear about teething but I'm sure it'll just be temporary. MLS is coming to visit for a whole day in April and I can't wait. We're also making tentative plans for a girly holiday next year when both our DD2s are bigger.

4ever Glad you had a great birhday and good that you now know about the treatment. with your relaxed attitude to TTC you'll be up the duff again in no time.

Barbie Yuk to being up 3x a night again. I'm really scared to jinx things by writing this but...I decided last week that we'd do dome sleep training with H at the weekend. Never one to be told what to do, she slept all night last Thursday! Grin Decided that there'd be no more night feeds from that point on and she's been really good. We had some crying on Friday night and last night but on Saturday she slept for 12 hours straight! I never thought I'd say that. I am still exhausted though as now my body has a taste for sleep it's craving it. I've gone from 5 hours sleep on a good night to almost 8!
Like you, I am fed up feeding now so the plan is to drop the morning feed in 2 weeks and just offer a cup and then do the evening feed before bath and control cry to sleep if necessary. I've been rebellious and started wearing underwired bras again too! I hope to have completely stopped within the month.

Vjay Blush I meant to text to check on Ajay. Sorry. Glad he's better. Hope the hospital food helped with theweight loss too.

LBM Well done on the jeans. Hope the night out was good.

Mermaid Well done to your DS. Bet you were dead proud of him. We spent the afternoon at the beach on Sunday, despite the cold and it made me think of you.Smile

Blue I heart St Andrews. Hope you had a lovely time. Great to have somewhere to escape to. Do you fancy another meet up during the school hols? Our kids are off the 1st two weeks in April.

BQ Weeble away on here.

Louey I had a giggle at the shower episode. We want a picture of the new dress and the bump please!

QA Hope the sand is nice and warm.

Better go and get back to the marking. I keep forgetting that if I set the work I'll have to mark it Angry Blush

Hello to Curly, Sabs, Buddha, MLS Gracie, MrsKate, Iggy and all the other lurkers plus those I've missed. Hope you're all ok.

Neeko · 08/03/2011 21:00

In case any of you think you're missing a trick, i meant some sleep training. Must proof read. Blush

MrsKate · 08/03/2011 21:46

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK GrinGrin
Hi mrskate yes you must stay in in future on the 7th March, you can camp out in the greenhouse all day Smile, and glad to you're doing ok. Hows gracie?

4ever it's good that you know exactly what you need to do when you do get pg next, you have a plan straight away Smile

moon I'll send you some snowy sand from our beach up here if you like, it's onwards and upwards for you my lovely.

Hi neeko I put on a lb when we were in hospital, I was comfort eating Blush, but I've already lost it and a further one YAY! Say hi to mls Smile

bqbigpants it's a officail now Grin

Big waves to eveyone Smile

We woke up today to a complete white out!!! Shock, bloody snow, thought we'd seen the last of it. Hows it down your way blue and neeks?

We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary yesterday Smile, we celebrated with pancakes Grin

Gotta go and do some study now, laters xx

cupcakefairy · 09/03/2011 12:03

Happy wedding anniversary to the Jays :) pancakes is a great way to celebrate Grin I only managed about 4 then was too full, gutted!!! Might have to have some more tonight, haha Grin (Neeko, you were right first time, I was stuffing my face Grin)
Jude tried his first pancake last night; I made him mini ones spread with a little yoghurt and he gobbled them up :)

Neeko (again!) that's soooo lovely you might go on hols with MLS, love that you two have such a close friendship now from meeting here - there are some teeny tiny silver linings to all the hurt we have been through aren't there :)
And amazing news about H's sleep. So hope it continues, sounds like your PLAN is a good one. I'm wearing underwired bras again too and loving it!!

Hi mrskate!! Good to see you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK! Can't believe it Shock where does the time go. Jude's birthday is only about 10 weeks away ShockShock I'm in denial.
Glad to hear you're all ok after accident but that must have been so scary Confused thinking of you with going back to work xxx

QuestionableAntics · 09/03/2011 19:11

Hi Smile Thank you to you all for your kind words and support, especially about not getting an early scan. Have looked in to and found private scans fairly locally but so I am still weighing up that as an option, may try at my own docs on the off chance though. Am trying to just be pleased that so far, I have had no reason to be referred for one iyswim?
It is going sooo slowly, but so far so good. Have had a busy week and RL got in the way of me lurking and posting for a few day. No real syptoms as yet, just a bit of a tender and very bloated stomach Confused

cupcake Glad the hen night went well, sounds like you all had a great time. Aww to the video of your sister's husband to be, what a great idea! Well done to Jude for getting in to the pancake tradition, especially with anice healthy topping unlike mine 10 weeks to go until Jude's birthday? Shock

louey I Grin at Isaac spraying the fireman and you pulling the button off the shower, could just imagine myself doing that too. Can't be long now 'til their birthday? the sandpit looks amazing, they will love it. Great that you are happy with your new dress too, have had a sneeky look at some maternity stuff and saw a fab dress in the sale, but didn't like to tempt fate and buy it just yet.

mermaid your post to me saying every half hour feels like a millenium was spot on, I have never known 2 weeks go so slow in my life Hmm Sounds like your DS did well, to me finishing is a massive achievement. 'Eliop' is too cute, though not sure if you said it at work they would agree Grin How are you getting on?

moon sorry I didn't get back on to check on you, was thinking of you and was hoping to be back befire now, but RL got in the way. well done to you for getting through stage 2 of your plan. Can totally empathise with the scan room feeling, had the same thing myself after my MC when having a scan for health issues, It was awful, but hopefully it will all be worth it.

neeko I laughed at H foiling you sleep training plans by getting in there first sand starting to sleep well, these babies are crafty aren't they? Grin It is lovely that you and MLS have become such good friends that you are thinking of going on holiday together.

Vjay Really pleased to see that Ajay is out of hospital, you must be so relieved, hope he makes a speedy recovery and is back to himself soon. Happy anniversary for yesterday too, pancakes sound like a good way to celebrate!

blue hope you had a lovely weekend away, would love it if a family member bought a new caravan, cheap all year round holidays sounds great! Was the caravan one of those swanky new all mod cons ones or a veritible feast of velour upholstery? Grin

4ever What a lovely birthday you had, sounds like Summer was spoilt just as much as you. That GAp outfit is very cute. Although you have to have treatment again in your next pregnancy, it is good that you have got it all sorted and planned in advance so as soon as you get that BFP you can get it sorted.

Barbie You have had such a time of it, your symptoms don't sound like the classic IBS, especially the flu like symptoms, perhaps you should head back for a 2nd opinion? The lack of sleep can't be helping, though hopefully it will settle soon. Teething and ear infections are no fun. Grin at you and the Shisha, don't think i would have dared try it either, sounds like a good night though. Just always wish you had more time to recover after a good night though don't you?!

LBM Bet you are crossing off the days on your calendar Smile Hope you had a good night out and the 'teenagers' coped ok, after such a busy week last week, just reading your rundown of 24 hours made me tired, you deserved a night out Grin I would try the head in the sand, but am not very good at it. I am more of a hit is straight on sort of person. Though keeping busy does help, no trouble with that this last week.

MrsKate Sorry to hear about your accident, scary for you, but glad you are both relatively fine. Happy birthday to Jack. Hope the counselling is going ok and that your return to work is as pain free as possible. Just take it steady and do whatever feels right for you.

BQ 11th June doesn't feel that far away, it will be here before you know it Shock Hope things are not so hectic that you still get time to put your feet up every now again.

monkey How are you? Still sorting out your holiday washing? Grin Hope things are ok.

A big wave to everyone else lurking, got to go bedtime for DS. x

VJay · 10/03/2011 11:18

Having a difficult time at the mo Sad. We've moved Ajay into Cjays bedroom as we are always disturbing him. It's only temp until the house is finished. We sat down with Cjay and discussed and planned it all and he was happy and did the move on the Sunday but then Ajay went into hospital the following day. Anyway move forward to now and the boys have been sharing but Ajay is disturbing Cjay and Cjay is really playing up, he was even flapping his hands this morning and he's reverting back to baby speak. I think with all that happened last week and now his 'space' is being invaded, it's quite hard on him. Now I could just move Ajay back into our room, BUT Cjay has got to learn!!!
I just need to ride this out.

No need to reply, I just needed to get it out Smile

barbie1 · 10/03/2011 12:08

vjay aw bless, i dont know what to suggest but im sure you will get through it. You are a fab mum and will know what to do for the best Smile

In order to raise a smile here is my latest barbie moment...

In ikea i bent down to speak to dolly and her bestest friend (barnaby) as i was in charge while friend went to pick up a stair gate....as i bent down a felt a draft on my bum....only then i realized that my dress had caught on a flat pack box and the back was up showing my ass off to the very curious ikea men Blush and to make matters worse it was a right pain trying to untangle myself and of course no body would offer to help....oh and both kids went off in opposite directions adding to my frustration!

Oh and today after dollies swimming she decided to go up to the cutest pe teacher from the local school (he is lovely, i would get back into my pe knickers if he was teaching me Wink...whoops i digress....anyway Dolly decided to untie his laces as he was stood talking and then reach up screeching for him to pick her up Blush on the plus side we did get a glimpse of his rather nice bum as he bent over to retie his shoes Grin

VJay · 10/03/2011 12:25

Grin, I love a good barbiemoment, thanks.

I am ok, and it will be all fine, I just get my head down and get on with it Smile, I felt better just getting it off my chest Smile

I'm off to put the kettle on for a Brew, anyone want one?

barbie1 · 10/03/2011 13:05

hope it cheered you up somewhat...nah to a Brew it's way too hot here, 36 and climbing. Im starting to dread the summer already!

mermaidspurse · 10/03/2011 13:35

36 degrees pah. No wonder you had to air your nether regionsGrin

vjay you have been through the wringer in the last week or so. fill me upBrew and i klnow you have some choc hobnobs stashed around here somewhere....
It's that bloody thorny issue of routine, poor cjay. Well done for sticking with it, hopefully they will soon be of an age together that they will love sharing a den under the duvet with torches and sweets.
qa you are doing really well, just try and take it as easy as posible.xx

blue hope you are near your bikini goal.
I keep looking at holidays but am too scared to go away this yearSad

bq omg 11th JuneShockGrin that is just so fab to read.
work must work.

barbie1 · 10/03/2011 14:15

36 in march just think what it will be in july Sad too hot to do anything and will be stuck in the villa with a hyper Dolly....thinking of coming home two weeks before dh, which means i get a month in the uk and hopefully avoid at least some of the heat.

mermaid totally understand your thoughts on booking a holiday, can your mum come with you? or maybe just do local days out or something...or if your brave there is a lovely but hot villa you can borrow here in dubai Grin

mermaidspurse · 10/03/2011 14:56
