QuestionableAntics · 26/02/2011 19:50

mermaid Hope you had a lovely day making cakes. What's Heligan Garden?

blue Thanks for the hand hold Smile It has been so busy on here I have decided to ignore the past few days in an attempt to keep up, there was just too much to catch up properly, am hoping that everyone is so distracted by my BFP, they won't notice Wink Hope you are having a good weekend.

vjay being fronked has definitely entered the greenhouse dictionary, love it! I have spent a lot of today just grinning to myself and Dh and i catching each others eyes and smiling. Managed to keep it to ourselves though Grin

moon Really glad you are feeling a little brighter today. So pleased that you have got a date for your scan and that you don't have too long to wait either. Things are moving on well and like cupcake I am hoping your BFP is just around the corner x

Thank you again for all for your lovely messages, they mean so much. I am so Smile Smile Smile After a busy few days, have promised DH a night in together watching a film, minus the Wine Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Neeko · 26/02/2011 20:23

Hi.

QA Congratulations!!!Grin Grin So pleased for you. Snuggle up in the cotton wool corner and hibernate until Big pants land.

Moon Huge hugs for totally normal emotions and hand holding for your scan.

Loved all the funny talk. Vjay and Sabs Well I never! Grin

H unwell (again) with temp of 38.6. Will I ever get a full night's sleep?

Cupcake i'd like to stop but H still won't take a bottle and isn't good with a cup. Roll on the cow's milk days.

Off to bed to try to maximise on available sleep.

loueytb3 · 27/02/2011 13:33

Quick wooohooo from me to QA for the bfp - lovely seeing the words on a digi!

neeko poor you. Hope H gets better soon.

Sorry for lack of personals, rampaging children....

Neeko · 27/02/2011 19:06

Thanks Louey She's a bit better today.

QA Hope some nice reassuring pg feelings are kicking in.

QuestionableAntics · 27/02/2011 19:57

Thanks neeko Smile Glad to see that your DD is feeling a it better, let's hope some sleep for you is next on the cards. It will be easier when she can have cows milk, not long now Shock like louey H's birth was my first on here too. Hopefully she is getting all her illness out of the way in preparation for being fighting fit for her birthday. No PG feelings yet, feel weirdly normal, but then it is very early

louey It is so lovely seeing the words on the Digital test, so much better than getting worked up about colour of lines! How are you feeling?

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. Have been wondering how MLS is getting on? Hope things are ok. I have been smiling all weekend, but trying not to get too carried away with it all!

littlebellsmum · 27/02/2011 20:36

QA hurrahhh - fantabulous news!! Congratulations - have a fizzy feeling from me!

I can't believe friday nights chat - sounded more fun than the 3 hour drive I was doing. But is was to mum and dads and they may fuss but I didn't have to do anything but drive for 2 days . And I couldn't spend all night on the 'puter as I was sleeping in the study with babybelle and didn't want to disturb her.

Moon great news on the scan being soon. One step closer to your bfp

Sorry to hear about all the sick babies - Summer and H especially. Hope the are better soon.

BabyBelle is doing really well - she's not a Dolly and likes to sit still playing with her toys, is taking stealth moving to new levels, sleeps really well at the mo ( at blinking last) but still has no teeth. Not that it stops her eating - theres no longer anything dainty about my little girl!! She also loves "uncle" washer - the washing machine to anyone else and can sit for ages watching it! It's great as I can do the washing up. I'm trying to train her to empty it like blue's B but no joy to day, alhough she was standing in the basket whilst her dad emptied it! 9 months is just such a lovely age.

Anyway, no time for personals today, DH and I are about to open some aussie wine and start planning our trip - bring on the kangaroos!!

cupcakefairy · 27/02/2011 21:00

Neeko :( I thought H was taking a bottle...sorry you're still having that battle. And sorry to hear the poor mite has been ill too. Glad she's perked up a bit now though.

lbm awwww babybelle sounds gorgeous. You're right 9 months is so lovely. (Although I am Envy that yours sits still!! Grin)

qa yay for smiley happy weekend :) you sound on cloud 9. We need a list update don't we!!

Is the 4ever household a bit healthier now?? Hope you're all ok honey.

Hope sabs and curly enjoyed their meetup too :)

Right, think I am off to bed as I plan to get up at silly o'clock to watch some of the Oscars online Grin
Night all!

CurlyLikesShortShorts · 27/02/2011 22:47

Hello all. Me and curlygirl had a lovely time doing lunch and softplay with sabs and saara yesterday Grin. I wish I'd got a photo of Saara, she is so so gorgeous - and was very patient with curlygirl Grin Hope we can have another meet-up soon but next time it would be great to have everyone else there too :)

Still laughing at the drunken fronkin antics the other night with vjayjay :)

lots of love to everyone. I'm away next week but no doubt will find the tinternet so I can catch up xxx

monkeybumsmum · 28/02/2011 07:56

Just checking in before going to work - QA fantastic news, hope that lovely fizzy feeling lasts Smile

Haven't had chance yet to check back, but am looking forward to reading about drunken fronkin antics whatever they might be Grin Sounds fun!

Had a fab hol, and so did my dad - was lovely to see him smiling and enjoying himself Smile DS had an amazing b'day, but will come back later and post properly... Got lovely pics too of him with dolphins!

Hope you're all okay, and have a good day! xxx

monkeybumsmum · 28/02/2011 07:57

ps curly it would be wonderful to have a big meet-up, can we get something organised? Maybe in the summer when barbie's around?

VJay · 28/02/2011 12:54

Hello Smile

I got a text from barbie this morning, she's not forgotten us she's been ill again and Dolly has an ear infection Sad, thankfully her mum is still there Smile

Quick one from me, I have a poorly Ajay, he was up sick most of the night and is very weak and floppy today. So far he's had some water but brought it all up again Sad

Will catch up later xxx

4everhopeful · 01/03/2011 04:37

Poor Ajay and Dolly and Hannah, wonder if its the same rotten bug doing the rounds? If its any consolation Summer seems much better now (fingers xd!) so hopefully it only lasts a few days, it honestly traumatised me though seeing her be that sick Sad and OMG the continual poo explosions! Shock Sympathes to the mummies of poorly bubbies...

Having an insomniac moment Confused thankfully things normalling out here after a bit of a hectic and stressful few wks, my birthday on friday and DDDH has booked the first ever hotel we stayed in for the night in Brighton, right on the seafront Grin we are taking Summer and im so excited! Its her first night away from home!

Btw anyone watch OBEM? Cue the weekly sobfest! Love it, makes me want to do it all again asap! Next wk a lady is on whos had 4mc

Anyway ladies must try and get some more zzzzs - Loves ya x x x x x

loueytb3 · 01/03/2011 09:21

Morning!

Am sorry to hear about all the poorly babies Sad but glad to hear that Summer is better now 4ever. Your birthday treat sounds wonderful - what a lovely idea! Hope you managed to get some more sleep.

vjayjay how's Ajay today? Its horrible when they are go listless like that Sad Your drunken fronk chat made me Grin. I did wonder why we were in most active convos....

barbie hope you are managing to get some rest as well as looking after a poorly Dolly. Glad your mum is there to help.

monkey I am soooo glad you had a wonderful time on holiday and your Dad did too! I can't remember now what stage of Drs appts you were at?

curly and sabs aaah - would have loved to have seen your babies playing together. Sounds ilke you had a lovely time Smile.

sabs hope you are having a nice week off with saara and its not too hard with DH away. Do you get to have a week away as well?

curly my birthplan consists of 1) tell consultant I want a c-section 2) turn up on the day and have the baby Grin. Actually, I do want them to lower the screen when this LO is born so we can see the sex first. Haven't got any further than that.

LBM lol at training babybelle. Glad you are getting more sleep finally. Isaac didn't get any teeth until he was a year old and it didn't stop him eating for England either....

neeko is H on the mend???

QA Have you stopped smiling yet Smile Smile Its funny how things work out - just over a week ago you posted about feeling sad about meeting a friend who had had another baby and then as if by magic, you get your bfp.

Have been wondering about MLS too - hope you are ok out there!

cupcake Did you stay up to watch the oscars? I have wanted to do that for years but have never managed it. How did the wedding/hen night planning go?

moon As the others have said, you are not selfish and your reactions are totally normal and understandable. I had a similar reaction when I found out my step-sister (who I'm v close to) was pg. It had taken her 3 months to get pg. I think we'd been trying for 18 months at that point. She told us she was pg when we were out in a pub with family, it was a shock. I disappeared off to the loo and absolutely sobbed my heart out. My mum knew I'd be upset (as did DH) and followed me. She said had she known that my step-sister was pg she would have told her not to tell me like that. It wasn't helped by the fact that I had was on CD1 again. I love my nephew to bits but it took a while before I could talk to her about her pg. Just after he was born, we went to see them and I told her I was pg (with DTs). She was very relieved! Your scan will be fine - we'll be here on Monday to hold your hand. One more thing to tick off the list. Has DP done his sample yet???

mermaid I'm Confused I though Heligan was a garden place - why were you going there to bake cakes?

Party planning here - less than 3 weeks to the boys party and I've (hopefully) sorted a cake, and one outfit for Luke. Just need to sort out Isaac's now. Star Wars theme so have been scouring ebay for bargains. Oh and my bestest NCT friend had a baby boy on Sun night so I'm now more broody than ever.

especially for cupcake St Davids St Davids St Davids St Davids St Davids

cupcakefairy · 01/03/2011 10:53

Morning all :) and happy St David's day St Davids :) Thanks for the daffodils louey Wink I'm hoping dh will come home from work with some welsh cakes...Grin
I did get up to watch the oscars as I have done for the last few years (I love it!!) but sadly after 30mins the site I was watching on got shut down (we don't have sky movies so I was watching streaming online, bit naughty) I couldn't be bothered finding another one so just went back to bed...boo.

Your story about your step-sis sounds so similar to a lot of us. I remember sobbing at work because I was on CD1 again and a friend had just announced her pregnancy with a scan pic on facebook...turned out that CD1 was the first day of my pregnancy with Jude :) I think blue had the same thing.

:( to all poor sick babies, and poor mummies. Hope they all improve soon.

4ever my life, I was sobbing at last night's OBEM...that couple who desperately wanted a big family and had lost two babies (one stillborn and one died at 6 weeks old for anyone who didn't see it) -incredibly sad but she seemed so flipping strong, really inspiring. I did think of you and some of our other ladies when I saw the clip of next week's with the couple who've had 4 mc...will be another sobfest I'm sure.
Your birthday treat sounds lovely :)

Welcome back monkey sooo glad you had such a lovely time :) definitely up for a summer meet-up too!

First day back at swimming today... must shave legs Hmm

Neeko · 01/03/2011 20:58

Hi.

Just a quick message. H is much better, thanks. Hope the other sick babies are on the mend. Just heading to bed but wanted to let you know that MLS is fine. We text everyday and I'll hound her to get back on here! Grin

Hope to be back with a longer post tomorrow.

QuestionableAntics · 02/03/2011 15:01

LBM hope you got some planning sorted before opening the wine Grin Babybelle sounds fab, 'uncle' washer is brilliant, especially if it lets you get on with things whilst she is happily entertained. Really pleased she is sleeping well too, will make all that juggling you do a bit easier.

cupcake sorry you didn't get your full 'fix' of Oscars action. I love seeing what they were all wearing and the hits and misses, but Shock at getting up to watch it, nothing disturbs my sleep unless necessary!

curly and sabs glad you had a good time at your meet up, must be lovely to meet in RL.

monkey so pleased you had a great holiday, looking forward to seeing some photos, glad your DS had a good birthday too. Can't remember where you went? Blush

Vjay How is little Vjay doing now? Hope he is feeling much better.

Barbie pleased your mum is still around to help you out at the moment. ear infection is no fun for littlies and I can't imagine you are getting much sleep especially being poorly yourself. Take care x

4ever Bet you're excited about Friday now, what a lovely treat for your birthday and how lovely that you will have Summer with you this time Smile Hope you have an amazing time. I watched OBEM too, and sobbed as usual.

louey hope your party planning is going well, love your birth plan, simple yet effective Grin Have you or BQ been thinking of names yet. Though 'Fronk' could take off Grin

moon How are you doing, hope you are managing to stay calm until Monday and have a nice weekend. x

neeko thanks for letting us know about MLS, really glad she is ok, hope she will pop back on soon. Also pleased that H is much better Smile

Not much to report here, though uneventful is good Smile Am toying with the idea of a private scan at 8 weeks if all goes well until then? Could really do without paying for it, but they told me when I had my MC they don't do reassurance scans for a next pregnancy, so would just be the standard one. Has anyone ever gone for a private early reassurance scan?

4everhopeful · 02/03/2011 16:16

Hey QA do you live in or near London as my fab local hospital has a walk in EPU that would do a reassurance scan for you, let me know and ill give you details.. Blummin post code lottery makes me Angry Think some of our fellow weebles have had to go private for a reassurance scan though so im sure someone can offer advice on that too.. X

QuestionableAntics · 02/03/2011 17:06

Thanks so much 4ever that would be great, but unfortunately nowhere near. I can see why they don't do it from a practical and budgetary pov, but I think they underestimate how it feels after 'even just' 1 MC. Thanks again x

cupcakefairy · 02/03/2011 18:32

qa I felt the same as you and begged for a reassurance scan...with my gp and with the epu but was turned down :( I had to wait til 12 weeks but I think I'm pretty much the only one on this thread who waited til then... most hospitals seem to be ok with an 8 week scan, or people went private.
I get it too from a money pov but you're right, 'only 1' mc is so AngrySadAngry
Oooh I love the red carpet goss too; was reading the thread on here yesterday of people bitching about the dresses Grin

OP posts:
loueytb3 · 03/03/2011 16:59

QA Angry bloody annoying they don't do a reassurance scan. I know it varies by place - I was fortunate because they told me that they would re-scan me the next time I got pg and I had a scan at 6 weeks and then again at 7 weeks because of more bleeding. I asked for another scan at 9/10 wks because it felt like ages to get through to 12 weeks and they said no, so we paid for a private scan. We are in London too though, so easier to find places to do this. I know you don't want to put where you are on the board but you could always PM some of us and we can see if we can help you find a private clinic? My scan was around £100 if that helps. Alternatively you could create some symptoms to get a scan on the NHS

No names yet, I have a list but I doubt we will decide until the day before (as happened last time).

cupcake How was the swimming? I think I'm getting a tad unkempt on my lower half. Really need to sort it out before it turns into a jungle Confused

neeko glad H is better and thanks for the MLS update. Starting weaning takes up so much time, lots more feeding and ages to prepare pureed mush and all the extra washing Confused

BQ hope you are all ok out there

Big waves to all the other Emmy's

My little munchkins dressed up for book day today, was v cute seeing all the kids turn up to nursery dressed up. Am slowly sorting the party stuff out, still haven't organised their presents so that's next on the list. Just seem to spend every evening on the computer trying to sort out things.

mermaidspurse · 03/03/2011 17:32

poor qa every half an hour feels like a millenium.
Normally blue comes along and nails a sentance which you can keep repeating as a mantra to keep you goingSmile

cupcake hope you enjoyed your welsh cakes and I can send you a lateSt Davids

monkey lovely to hear you enjoyed your holiday with your boys of all agesSmile

4ever lovely ladySmile to you being 21 again tomorrow. I know you will get royally spoiled tomorrow but also know that you have everything you could have wanted. So hope that poor dh is back on his feet. any news on the test results yet???

louey well done on the outfits, boy you are going to have a lot on your plate in a wee whileGrin
There is Lobbs next door to Heligan they do demos and you can then eat it allSmile

sabs hope your flying solo has been full of pink girly fun and that you and curly enjoyed the hell that is soft playGrin

lbm love the uncle washer - there are some words that stay with families for ever - we have eliop for helicopter, it comes out automatatically even if I am not with ds!
Glad also that you are getting some sleep.

which brings me onto barbie hope you are all ok, ill free and ok.x

vjay you are still making me smile and moon hope you are weebling through this week, thinking of you lots.

blue hope you are all feeling better too.x

Right off to giggle and fart at yoga, enjoy Thursday girls and thank crunchie it is nearly the weekend.

BlueMoon1981 · 03/03/2011 19:03

Hello girls, just a quick update from me, sorry have not had a lot of time to come on here this week. I have my cd2 blood test appointment tomorrow morning, weeble through the weekend to my scans x2 on Monday, fast forward 2 weeks when df has to give a sample, then weeble through another 2/3 weeks when we can make a doctors appointment to go through all the results. Oh and my pregnant sisters wedding somewhere in between that. Its gonna be a long month I think.

Much love and hugs to everyone :)
