Could do with some advise or thoughts about this as its driving me crazy.
I had the mirena coil out on the 14 of Jan. I bled the following night and it was quite heavy lasting around 3 days, it stopped for a few days then came back heavy again for one last day then completley went.
I used OPK's and got a positive LH surge on 29th of January. I had really bad ovulation pains, that were on and off for around three days, as it was so painful at times i went to see my GP on the 1st of Feb, he took swabs and bloods, all came back clear and confirmed i was not pregnant. Although he did say, if i had become pregnant during ovulation that might have happened 3 days before he said the bloods wouldnt have picked up the pregnancy hormone at that stage. He told me to do a pregnancy test when i should be due on and come back to him if the pains keep returning.
Last Wednesday i was experiencing very heavy bloating and thought i was starting to get ready to have my period. I was getting bad pains in my left hand side (assuming its where my left ovary is as i dont have a fallopian tube that side due to ectopic rupture in Jan 06) I rang up the sexual health clinic and told them what was happening and they told me to go in to be examined by the consultant there. She performed an internal examination and said she could feel swelling on my left hand side, exactly where i had been getting the pains. She has marked me down for an urgent scan, but i havnt heard from he hospital yet, and she also told me to ring tomorrow for blood results.Consultant said the swelling felt 'bulky' and she did mention possible cysts?? But i wouldnt know until i had been scanned.
I still have not come on and i feel extremely heavy down there, although i dont really feel like im going to have a period? I feel twingey still at times, am still seriously bloated (i look 3 months pregnant) and am scared and anxious.
I was put on the mirena coil for severe dysfunctional uterine bleeding,this was in June 09, which they didnt find a cause for at the time. I bled alot, and ended up staying in the hospital for 2 months. I had three blood transfusions and no one gave me an idea to why this happened. Scans were clear and didnt show any abnormalities that could have caused this to happen. They then inserted a mirena in 2 weeks after i was discharged from the hospital, by this time what ever was going on in my body to cause this, i believe had come to an end. However they still advised me to have a mirena coil inserted, so i anxiously agreed.
I was having serious side effects from the coil and wanted it out, however i was so scared the bleeding might return that i perservered with it until it became too much to bare.
Was reffered to my gyne in December 2010 as i wanted to ask them did they think it would be a good idea if i had it removed, due to the previous unexplained dysfunctional bleeding, they said nobody would know what was going to happen and that if it was giving me such bad side effects that i should have it removed. So it definatley was a decision i rushed into. Needed reassurance really. Gyne doc asked if i wanted it out there and then, i said i would like to wait for a month and get christmas over with first. I then had it removed in Jan at my Gp surgery.
I would have thought i was due on yesterday, i have done a pregnancy test and it was negative. Im obviously worried about ectopic pregnancy in my good side, however this is not where i have been having the pains. I feel extremley tired, and have felt like this the past 3 days. I am weeing for britain and have been doing this for the last 2 weeks!!?? I have had sore boobs on and off, more so a week after ovulation, but slightly less now (i have breast implants) so i know what this isnt pain i usually get in them at any other time.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?? Sorry if ive waffled. My head is up my backside with all of this!
