This is the place to be for all those wanting to TTC after miscarriage, or have plans on TTC in the relatively near future. This thread is full of support from people who have been there and no how you are feeling so jump on board and share the Wine and chocolate (or water and celery for those of you off alcohol and caffeine Wink)

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Ask any questions that have been niggling you or that you are concerned about, perhaps someone here has experienced the same in the past.

Hi all, work didn't last long i just burst into tears and they sent me home. Blush

lily collie am waiting for dr to call me back. It's called Bacterial Vaginosis, it's basically an overgrowth of various bacteria down there. I will hasten to say NOTHING to do with cleanliness. In fact over washing it can make it more likely to develop and apparently it's really common. (can you tell i'm slightly embarrassed by it.) I just can't believe she didn't think it through knowing we're ttc. Either she wasn't aware of it, or was just too rushed (being 45 mins late) to connect it in her head.

Hello, I did dip my toes back in last year when I had experienced 4 m/c (and one successful pregnancy). I have since had another 2 m/c and been referred to a Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic. Ive lost a stone and have suspended actual ttcing until we're all booked in at the clinic so that if I should m/c again I will have the support of a dedicated consultant/ nursing team instead of my local EPU who, at my last m/c, admitted they ust didn't know how to help me anymore.

So, a long ttc journey ahead of us again! Will just go and catch up with the rest of the thread now x

wild welcome, i'm so sorry about your losses what a terrible time you've had. Am pleased that they are seeing you and trying to help. Welldone on losing the stone. How long do they think it'll take to book you at the clinic. Would you like to go on the stats list? or wait until then?

am getting Angry now, it's been 2 hrs since i called dr. i wish they'd give you a time frame for call back.

lily glad cd is correct, maybe i should hand over the stats reins as i seem to keep getting bits wrong, (Blush at losing graduates yesterday)

Have been reading about the ab's on line while waiting for dr, one of the ones they prescribe for it has awful side effects, why is always that the possible side effects can be just as bad as the actual problem. (although i'd obviously rather have them, than risk the chance of mc again. doesn't give risk percentage just says can cause.)

ha!! just checked the other one and that said

"WARNING - This medication may cause a severe (rarely fatal) intestinal condition (Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea) due to a type of resistant bacteria."

Thanks lily and blackkat i was put on there emergnecy callback list (although i assume they do prioritise them don't get me wrong) am just getting worried about time as i have to go get ds in about 50 mins and don't want phone to go while driving.

wild there you go. Smile did they give you an estimate as to how long the wait normally is?

yep lily i called again at 12:30 to ask and she put me on the list again, i explained to the receptionist and she appologised about the 3 hour wait and said she'd put urgent on it. i told her i realised it wasn't life and death but just a quick 2 min call would save a weekend of stress. now i'm coming up to having been waiting for 4.5 hours.

cep my gp surgery is hopeless when it comes to phoning back, is there anyway they can squeeze you into afternoon surgery?

I've been dreading today, my 12 week scan was meant to be at 3:30, today was meant to be the day we showed our dd a photo and told her to meet her little brother or sister :( , we'd been looking forward to that from the start. Instead I'll be putting Pocahontas on and hiding in the next room for a good cry I expect! My husbands at physio so it's just me this afternoon!
